MrsC_2Bee:  I’m totally in the same boat, I am a PhD student and I go to school an hour and 15 minutes away from my house, I get up wash my face, brush my hair, brush my teeth, and put on suncreen. I always shower at night, since I find it relaxing. I rarely wear makeup and usually if I do is if I am teaching a class, or having to meet with a student (this is because they take me more seriously/authoritatively when I am more put together!)

I do almost the same thing except add let dogs out,  make coffee and throw on mascara in there (they all kind of happen at the same time though).. I eat breakfast at work and I do all my lunch prep the night before. I don’t work really Long hours I just don’t like to get out of bed haha

ETA I get out of bed let the dogs out, start coffee, brush teeth, put on mascara, let dogs in, get dressed, grab coffee and lunch and leave. It takes under 10 mins

I use to do this for the longest time because I am absolutely not a morning person.

However, I realized that on the rare days I did “gussy-up” a bit I felt better and felt more productive with myself and it set the tone for the day. I have been slowly trying to create a morning routine I can work with for those reasons, plus eventually I’d like to have a child and will need to learn how to become a morning person so I might as well start now while it’s just me that I have to get ready in the morning. Lol

Yes! I brush my teeth, run a brush through my sleep hair, spritz, throw something on and feed the cats then I’m off! I’ve always wished I cared more but I just don’t. I’m also a mom, working, and about to return back to school so you can bet it will stay minimal for me 😊

I’m glad to see this post, haha.

MrsC_2Bee:  I do run a straightener through my hair just in case a client comes in or I need to run out and see a client. I don’t actually straighten all of my hair though, just the parts the are sticking up after I went to sleep with a wet head.

I don’t get up until 6 but I still can’t justify getting up any earlier to actually style my hair or put on make up!

MrsC_2Bee:  Lol this is more my speed haha.

10 hour shifts and hour long drive home….the last thing I worry about in the mornings is how my hair looks lol.

It takes me half an hour from the moment I get up, to the moment I leave the house. And I shower before bed!

I wake up, get dressed, put my hair in a bun, sometimes I’ll throw in my contacts, brush my teeth, feed the pup, take her outside to do her business and leave.

Mine is the same as yours! I slap on some deoderant in the morning because I don’t like to sleep wearing it. I let the dog out and feed her and I make sure I have my lunch and everything else packed the night before too. I usually make a bowl of oatmeal (oats, chia, cinnamon, walnuts and dried cranberries usually) the night before that I add water to and toss in the microwave. Throw hair in a pony and go! I live a block away from a coffee shop that brews awesome coffee so I stop in there to grab some most mornings! Anyways… that’s my morning routine.

I work in Forestry and makeup just does not fare well with the job. Usually by 10am I would have sweated it all off or it would have been rained off my face!

Since I work at a bakery, I’m up at 4am. I also work with just one other girl, who is my best friend, and I rarely interact with the customers. I shower the night before, pull on some yoga pants and a t shirt, brush my teeth and get out the door. Ain’t nobody got time for makeup!

Yeah…I wake up and go. Never do makeup. my hair is always clean but I don’t do anything extra. I would rather sleep than meet someone else’s standard of beauty. It is my firm belief that women don’t need makeup or perfectly styled hair to look professional at work.

I work third shift, so that’s me too. I usually take a short nap before work and when I get up from that I wash my face, brush my teeth, pull my hair into a ponytail and go. I prefer to shower before I go to bed in the morning, and for my job, I’m not wasting time on makeup.

I used to be like this (I work 12-14 hour days), but then I discovered that my time in the morning leisurely doing my hair and makeup while watching YouTube videos iwth my kitty curling up behind me on my chair is the most relaxing, peaceful, “me’ time of the day. I cherish it and look forward to it, so it’s well worth the 1/2 hour or so to me.

Ten more minutes… ten more minutes… 10 more minutes…

…ok, I need to leave the house in the next 10 minutes for work. Where are all my clean knickers?

I also like to take my time getting ready. I do typically wear a full face of makeup everyday but I actually like putting it on. I turn on my favorite radio morning show and drink coffee while I do my hair and make up. I’d feel rushed and frazzled if I got out of bed and ran out of the door. I like to wake up slowly so I’d rather get up earlier and take my time.
