It was a hoax.  But I agree with not proposing in public, that would just have been weird for us.  Would not have liked that at all.

I think it’s fake! Ellen does staged skits like that; I think the bells at the end indicate that it’s actually part of a giveaway.

Its a fake. During the 12 Days of Give a ways on the show, they do skits and things each day and if the bell rings at the end it means it was a fake and everyone gets a gift!

somebody in the youtube comments mentioned that the gift everybody gets to have is what the people in the skit are holding. I wonder if that’s true. does this mean everybody in the audience got a ring? that would be insane.
