I contacted Moissaniteco and they said you can’t return the stone after it’s been set, so I’m worried I won’t like the stone when it arrives. It’s not that I don’t like moissanite, I’m just worried I’ll get shafted by the company. Like, if they have some unsightly moissys sitting around and reserve them for customers who won’t be able to do a return.
I’m probably just being paranoid, but I’d still love to hear about others’ experiences.

I’m not sure, but I’d likely also be worried that they’d lose my ring in the shuffle and potentially give me a different stone of the same size and specs…
We’re going to have our ring set at a jeweler locally – maybe that’s a better option for you if you’re worried?

I would get it set locally.
I ordered my ring from them and I love the stone but they did a crap job setting the stone (noticeably crooked). I had to send it back and I’m still not happy with it. I wish I had gone locally.

@firinne.x.coir: You can have it set locally by a jeweler. A lot of jewelers are familiar with them, and if they are a good jeweler, they will not try to talk you out of it. I purchased a Mira from moissaniteco.com and while it was very beautiful, I returned it. The sidestones in ering are insanely white, and while it was probably in my head, I didn’t like the way it looked together. I think a lot of it was that it was all too shiney and sparkly and i got lost in the whole ring and the setting no longer stood out to me. I ended up returning it and the process was super fast and the credit was back on our card in no time at all. You can purchase the loose stones and return with in 14 days if you don’t like it with no restocking fee. Good luck with your setting and I can’t wait to see it!
