@Navy_Wife: oh I got distracted:

I had a bit of advice…I made cloth diapers for a friend, I patterned it off of a diaper she had (an OsoCozy I think?) I made them in an organic cotton and a poly urethane laminate with a baby’s velcro opening! They turned out really nice, and once I got good at it I could churn them out at about 3/hour (including cutting), not really sure of the cost because she bought the materials though!

One thing I’m compelled to tell you is that when working with any plastic like material use a greater stitch length! The longer the stitch the less holes, the less holes the less weak points! I think  I made them at a 3.5 stitch! Good luck! It was a fun project, I’ll definitely do it for my kids too.

@Navy_Wife: I’m not working either. I also quit my job and then decided not try for another one b/c we wanted kids soon anyway. But now that the baby is here it is nice to have all the diapers put together for you so you don’t have to assemble. It’s amazing how much time a baby takes out of your day! Plus, I really don’t think my husband would have been ok with the cloth diaper route if he had to do more work than disposables.

wanted to bump this up and see if anyone had had any luck! I hate PDF patterns & wish I could find one that was pre-printed 🙂

Here’s a link to diaper patterns on Hyenacart.com, one of my favorite sites to browse.  Most of them are PDFs.  Hyenacart can be quite addicting to those interested in cloth diapers (and cute ones!!).  Prices vary quite a bit; it’s a like Etsy with a focus on cloth baby & mama products.
