@WillowTreeWade:  I did this periodically in the last 10 years that I was on the pill, and yes, on the week of the wedding as well.  While I personally didn’t have any problems, every woman’s body works differently!

I tried once, but it turns out I did it wrong, so it didn’t work. There are two ways to skip it:

1. use two packs at the same time. Do two weeks of the highest dose, 2 of the middle, and then 2 of the low dose.  (I couldn’t do this because my insurance only allows me to get one pack at a time, but dr’s usually have sample packs so they could probably provide one)

2. finish up the first pack, and then use only the low dose from the next one. (this seems like a waste, also I don’t know how that would work with insurance, because then you need another new pack right away)

I was dumb and finished one pack and started a new one from the top…my body was all WTF with the hormones

So it’s doable, but you basically need two packs of pills at the same time.

I’m not on the tri style anymore, pretty much for that reason

I do it with ortho tri-cyclen lo, with three packs at the same time- three weeks of white pills, three weeks of light blue, three weeks of dark blue, on week of placebo.

It works fine for me!
