Hello ladies, I’m 4 days late and this is a first. I’m always on schedule give or take a day before or after. This has never happened before… Chances of a pregnancy are very slim. ( Will take a rest on Tuesday to confirm ). Had a very stressful few weeks which got me very sick for another 2 weeks.
Any chance this could be why I have missed this month’s period?
Any one else skip a period? In really stressed and concerned.

sweetblessings56 : At this point your period is still classified as late, not skipped. Women skip periods for many reasons. Other than taking a pregna
ncy test, skipping just one period is not a cause for concern.

Yup. I randomly skipped my period 2 months in a row. Went to the doctor and they said to come back if I missed a third. I got it the next month. Basically, they just said it’s something that randomly happens sometimes and isn’t a big deal.

Oi currently 11 days late and two negative BFNs. This happened over the summer too. I had all kinds of tests and was told I’m fine and super healthy. Honestly think my body hates me.
Stopped BC August 2016 and only had slightly wonky ones for a couple months then was fine till April 2017, skipped May, got June, then skipped July and August. Had to take progesterone and got September with the pills and was then 2 days early for October and now no November. Need to call my doctor again soon. 🙁

My periods became irregular a few years ago and it’s because I have thyroid problems and high prolactin levels. If it ends up being really late or your periods become consistently irregular, then you may want to get some bloodwork done, but I wouldn’t worry if you only have one late period. It happens sometimes.

I skipped 3 periods in a row a few years ago. I think it was due to stress and possibly the new medication I had just started taking.

I have once skipped 4 periods in a row during a stressful semester in university! The doctor was very unconcerned, this can happen sometimes, especially in women who already generally have light periods. Since then I have never missed that many consecutively again but I still miss one or two occasionally.

I’m currently 9 days late and I have had months were my periods don’t come on time. There is many reasons why periods don’t come on time. For me personally I think it is because I have been getting a bit more exercise.

Just happened this week. Same exact situation and I have was 18 days late. I was nervous about possibly being pregnant but like you, my chances were very very slim. I have been very stress the past month and that is the number one cause of late periods. It wasn’t until today that I got my period. I would still get a test just to claify that you aren’t pregnant just so you can knock it out of the question. I wouldn’t worry too much yet but keep an eye on it.

I’m currently on day 59 of my cycle. My last period was September 29th. I haven’t been on birth control. And have always had regular cycles. This is our first cycle (but second month technically) trying to conceive. I chalked my “missed” period up to stress. Have you seen a gyn? I saw mine after my period was 20 days late. She said that wasn’t uncommon, and I could take Provera (medication to start period) beginning of next month if I hadn’t started my period yet
I would almost guarantee that stress/sickness is making your period late!

I’ve definitely skipped periods before. I’ve also had cycles as short as 26 days and as long as 57 days. 4 days difference would even register to me! Your body isn’t a machine, stress and sickness can certainly put things out of whack.
