About every month or so this post is created by a new user, some people comment, and then it fades after a week or so.

I did Insanity, completed both months and started Asylum. Turns out you actually need dumbells for that one and I’m having a hard time having the room to participate as quickly as the workout moves, so I’m redoing month two until I buy dumbells and move my workouts into the basement.

I’ll be here to offer motivation if you need it. Good luck!

I’ve started looking into this, but am basically shitting myself with fear. Since you’ve both done it (or some of it) before… HOW BAD?

At first, it is a bit of a shock, but by the time the second week comes around you are familiar with the videos and the moves, and it’s not so bad. Most of the workouts are 45 minutes or less.

I think it largely depends on your body type too. I’m petite and didn’t have much weight to lose, and a lot of toning up to do. I think that this would be much more intimidating for someone who has maybe never worked out, or is obese. I’d start with something else if that were the case.

I actually started to enjoy the videos. The whole point is to really push yourself your hardest each time, and I noticded I was getting stronger and more able. The second month, however, I really don’t like. I had no problem with the first month keeping with the 6 days a week routine, I still kept up with it the second month but it was harder for me to be motivated, I really had to talk myself into doing it somedays. The videos are longer, by about 10-15 minutes, but it really feels like it drags sometimes. The workouts in general seem less varied and more difficult than the first one and I don’t really like that.

But I feel like I didn’t push myself as much as I could have, so I’m doing it again. Now that I’ve decided to do the second month again, I’m having an even harder time, but I’ve committed to it so I will stick with it.

I’d say try it, stick to the schedule, and you will see the results (more quickly than I ever did by trying to pick up jogging/runnning).

I keep saying I’m going to start.  It’s mid-Oct and I was going to start back in July.  Shame on me!

Aie.  I haven’t worked out since I started back at work (May) but when I did work out I was pretty active (kickboxing, bootcamps here and there, spinning, other workout vids, sports, etc) but it’s been a while so I’m not sure where I’m at. I know I’ve put on some weight (joys of working in an office. ugg) but I can’t keep procrastinating, I need to do SOMETHING…I have been curious to try it out, but am sooo terrified lol

@Jellybones:  I keep saying I will, but I don’t think I will until I quit my job and have more time. My last day is Nov 28, so hopefully Dec will be the month I really commit!

@Jellybones:  Will do! but I am also cheap… so I will probably not try it simply because of the needing to buy crap lol
