My wedding’s on April 16 and it seems like everything was PRETTY calm and simple, got the dress, got the invites out, had some showers…but NOW…ohhh boy…NOW I feel like my head’s gonna explode from ALL the little details and things that must be done before and for the wedding! Like getting the marriage license, name change, address change, making sure the ceremony is how we want it, programs, PLUS we’ve been renovating a home together for the past 4 months (and it’s still not ready to move-in!), which means we both are still living at home with our parents (who mention something every to at least one of us about the house not being ready or wedding stuff) which is sooo stressful! It’s like I go to work all day and come home and my parents talk about the wedding and house THE WHOLE TIME (like I’m not already thinking about it? really?)and if I leave then I can’t get anything done to get ready for the wedding! If I do leave, I can only go to work on the renovation because if I do anything else, I’ll be “wasting time” when I could be doing something to get ready for the wedding!
Oh my gosh it’s just so overwhelming and I don’t know if I can handle all this! I just wanna take a vacation and let my brain rest lol!
Anyone else feel a bit insane? How are you handling it?

I know where your coming from. Our weddings not for another 9 weeks but, omg i am going crazy. i feel like there’s so many little things left to do (at least it’s just the little things left). We have also been renovating our house since October and are only half way done and would like to have it completed by may before our wedding. Which i really don’t see happening because on top of updating everything on the first and second floor we would like to develop the basement as well. I really could use a vacation. Can’t wait for the honeymoon.

I’m stressed too! We aren’t renovating but are in the process of moving into a bigger place and having tons of random movers / furniture deliveries / cable & internet setups, etc! I have stuff between homes and have spent more time than I thought I would scheduling and waiting during 2 to 4 hour “delivery windows”. AGH.
There are a lot of little details for the wedding I COULD be doing but for some reason haven’t…table #s, programs, etc… I think my college self is coming back…I always did the best by waiting until the absolute last minute for things and then pulling an all nighter. Probably not a great strategy in this situation. Ha.

I feel like I need about 10 of me right now to get everything done in time. We’re leaving for our hometown in 2 weeks!! I’ve started to go to yoga 2 nights a week and it has really helped me to re-group and destress 🙂 I think remembering to have some time for you and your own health (and sanity?) is really important!

Should I be freaking out right now? With 6 wks left to go, pretty much EVERYTHING is done. I started planning a year ago and make sure to have most of everything bought by the end of 2010. The only thing we have to do is wait for the few RSVP’s that are still making their way to us, finish paying off the vendors, and well, thats all. I’m so proud of myself for making sure we have everything taken care of.
