Okay – my yoga studio recently started doing cardio striptease and cardio pole dancing classes. I saw the end of one yesterday, and to be honest, it looked really, really fun.
So my best friend and I are going next week, and I am a little nervous. Has anyone ever taken one? It is more for fun, I doubt it is a super serious work out, but we will see, haha!
All I can picture is the King of Queens episode where Doug talks Carrie into taking pole dancing classes, and she is TERRIBLE but thinks she’s fantastic!

A friend of mine had her bachelorette party at a pole dancing class. Well we took a class, then went to MOH’s house for food and presents and then went out bar hopping.
Anyway the pole dancing class was SOOO much fun and a good workout. We had an hour class and the next day I felt like I was hit by a truck.
It’s a great way to tone up, you have fun learning pole tricks, you don’t feel like you are getting a workout at all but the next day you defintely feel it in your arms and abs. I’m guessing that as the class progresses you probably feel it more in your legs when you are climbing up the pole.
If we had a pole dancing class close to where I live I’d definitely take one. But unfortunately I’d have to drive over an hour and I can’t afford that kind of gas. I’m sure if I called a stipper joint here in town I could take lessons BUT I’m in healthcare and I don’t think it would look good if I was seen walking out of a stripper joint a couple times a week lol. Nothing against strippers but this isn’t a big town people would talk.

I want to do this so badly!! Sadly a month before I moved I found the local gym had classes. I was so upset. Makes me want to move back.

I haven’t taken a class, but I have worked as a dancer, and have a pole in my home. I can tell you that if you begin working on tricks and workourts with the pole, your arms will look more amazing than you ever could believe, lol.
I have the weakest chicken arms, but when I started working out on the pole, the change in my strength and muscle definition was incredible.

It is new in my town – I guess the instructors does classes 30 minutes away, but recently expanded here. I am pretty excited!
I really like trying new classes and different things. I guess this qualifies as different! 🙂
