I bought velvet purple ribbon with a damask pattern for my cake and some golden butterflys–they are part of the Michael’s Christmas line and they are a little out of place.

Our colors were silver and cobalt blue, so I definitely stocked up on ribbons this time of year!  And we used some little disco ball ornaments scattered through our centerpieces too!

I bought a ton of stuff at the after christmas sales last year for ours.  Hobby Lobby, come January, will also have their 90% off section starting and I bought a TON of stuff there.

This is a really good idea! I think I’ll look for silver stuff.

This is a great idea! Like you, I love getting deals, but I didn’t think to check out post-Christmas clearance thinking it would all be green and red. I LOVE that feather ornament, what a great idea for the pews. I will definitely be checking out Michaels and Hobby Lobby tomorow after work!

I just bought a TON of Christmas ornaments to use in our centerpieces for our October wedding. I just got the ones that were round and solid colors to match our theme. I just bought them in different sizes and finishes to add a little variety.

There are so many great deals to be had out there in Xmas decor everywehre! Walmart, Target, Michaels, TJ Maxx and Marshalls. They all have at least 50% off deals; so far I”ve gotten some beutiful candelabras with hanging crystals; a small bejeweled mercury vase in black onyx with a candle and two really cute wire birdcages with a flower embellishment made of beads and pearls.

I’m still waiting for a little more of a discount to get some of the beaded and pearl garlands at Michaels and little white lights wherever they still have them:)

I did some serious damage at the post-Christmas sales as gold and silver are a major part of my decor scheme. Sooooo many glittery candles!

Does anyone know if those large spools of Mesh fabric can be used as aisle runners?? (See first pic on this post at the very top of the page in purple). I’m not even sure they are called “spools’ because they are like 10 yards of mesh – just huge! They have gold, silver and red/green ones on clearance at Michaels and AC Moore…
