A lot of people incorporate another color for pop or flair. You know they’ll have bright red roses for flowers, or green, hot pink…. Are you thinking of doing Black/White only?  If so you are, you can always highlight and have a pearlized white with a patent black….

Oh! We are doing black and white! We are doing what Jackie-O suggested though and bringing in bright colors with our flowers–with bright pink and green. I looooove the combination! Also, if you are worried about it being too dark, focus on the white and have lots of black accents.

My brother’s wedding was black and white, and it was the hottest day of the year, and it still worked fine. The guys had soft grey vests & ties, so it relieved the blackness of it. We had pale flowers, mostly creams and pale purples.

Jackie-o is right, it’d give you great scope to have really stand out flowers.

It looks really smart in the photos, too.

I’m doing black, white, and gold.

With white linens and black runners, I’ve not had a problem with it being too dark at all.

I’m doing Black and white with damask and red roses!!! I love the idea of a black and white wedding! I always knew I would do those colors, so picking my theme was easy!

I’m doing black and white with red and aqua. We’re going for a retro/vampy/pinup/rockabilly/50s feel with lots of polka dots!

We’re doing black/white with blue accents.  It’ll be in the flowers, my shoes, etc.  Also, black is more of an accent to the white, not a base color.  For example, the linnens will be white, white candles, etc.  Black will show up in the girls’ dresses, guys’ tuxes, some accent ribbons, paper products and such.  There are some awesome black/white inspiration boards around.  I saved one, I’ll try to attach it.  I can’t remember where I found it though!

We started with black and white but it transitioned to black and ivory with sage green accents.
