Just wondering if anyone had had success with any eyelash enhancers,ie. like Latisse, but non-prescription kind. I’ve tried lilash but it makes my eyelids look bruised. Has anyone else experienced that? If you’ve actually seen a difference, I’d love to know what you used and how long it took!

I have not personally tried anything like that. However, I have three friends who have eyelash extensions, and they love them.

I had Latisse, and used it for only a week before I had to move and i now seemed to have lost the bottle during the move. My friend that works for a doctors office was able to get me samples. So bummed I lost it. She has used it and it looks great!

I’ve been using the Smashbox Lash Revival for maybe 3 weeks because I found it on the clearance rack at Ulta for $10. So far I haven’t noticed a lot of thickening but they’re a little longer. The reviews I read said it takes at least 4-6 weeks to really see a big difference.

My mom does eyelash extensions. She loves them and it looks fab!

With Latisse, I’m worried about the side effects… anyone have info about that?

@macbookbee123: How do the extensions come off? Do you peel them or do they naturally fall out one day when the adhesive is gone? Do they take a lot of lashes with them?

Latisse isn’t prescription, but you do have to buy it from a medical establishment. The plastic surgeon that I went to say that the side effects are over-exaggerated. But it doesn’t hurt to follow directions anyway 🙂
I’ve been using Latisse for about 4 weeks now (as consistently as I can- I’ve skipped a few days here and there) and definitely see a difference. Naturally my lashes are really wimpy and blonde- almost invisible. Now, they’re darker and definitely longer, and when I wear mascara they’re noticibly longer. I’m really excited and happy with how the Latisse is working so far. They say by 8 weeks they get thicker and continue to get longer, so I’m going to keep using.
I got a Groupon deal (or living social) for a buy one get one free, so I paid around $120 for 2 bottles. Totally worth it, IMO.

Latisse is great, but makes my eyelids sensitive if I haven’t used it for a while. I have stubby, straight Asian eyelashes (only about five of them and they are ash brown) and the latisse really makes a difference. I don’t have any experience with the other OTC products.
My make-up artist friend really advises against eyelash extensions because she says they have a tendancy to prematurely pull out lashes. She says to just go with falsies when you want a fuller look.

@Ms.Clean: I wore the extensions once (for my wedding) and ended up regretting it. They look great but definitely damaged my lashes.
Isn’t there a warning about Latisse permanently darkening the iris?

I recently met a girl that just started using Latisse. I don’t know what/any “side effects” she’s experienced, but her eyelashes look amazing!!!

I had success with RapidLash. (Man, that sounds like a commercial.) The lashes have gotten longer and stayed longer. I’d read horror stories of people’s lashes breaking off as soon as they stopped the product. Guess I’m one of the lucky ones!

I use lilash and I love it! It works so great. My eyelids do get a little bit red but I wear makeup everyday so it doesn’t make a big difference to me. My mom uses it too and loves it!
