Ahh. What you ultimately decide is up to you, but what I will say is that I would not do the HCG diet if I were you. My best friend and her mom both did it, so I have some second-hand experience.
The HCG diet is very deceiving and very unhealthy. It combines a regimen of droplets that contain the HCG hormone, along with a diet that consists of no more than 500 calories a day. Both of those things are major problems.
Consuming only 500 calories a day will make you lose weight, but in a really unhealthy way. It’s not enough for normal brain and body functioning. You’d essentially be starving yourself and you’d drastically lower your metabolism.
I’m not sure if you know this (some people don’t), but HCG is the hormone present during pregnancy, produced by the cells that form the placenta. (It’s also the hormone that activates pregnancy tests.) It is not approved by the FDA for weight loss, and you risk a load of side effects for inducing the hormone into your system. Personally, I’d never want to make my body think I was pregnant when I’m not! (I know it doesn’t work quite like that, but some women experience side effects similar to those if they were pregnant.)
To me, it’s a terrifying combination. I know you want to drop some more pounds, but I’d hate for you to do it in such an unhealthy way, especially when you should be taking care of yourself before your wedding!

I know someone who did it and she lost a bit of weight, but nothing more than she would’ve with any other diet. Plus, you have to deprive yourself of SO MUCH when you’re on it.

I know several people that did that diet successfully without adverse reactions, but that is really all I know! Sorry I can’t help you more…
