Yes. They are tough, but short, so it makes it manageable.

I think they are a great workout!

I’ve tried them before…I just found they get repetitive and I lost my interest in it.  I’ve had friends swear by it though!

I just finished my first week and love it. I’d much rather do an Insanity video than run on the treadmill. It’s definitely a killer workout, and it does take a commitment. I also enjoy the diet plan because it actually embraces carbs. 🙂

Team Beachbody has a really good community, and I’ve found it’s been great for accountability, motivation and education. Good luck!

They’re a good workout. I’m normally doing either marathon training or off season 5k speed worktouts, and i find they’re excellent cross training. The only thing is that there’s a lot of jumping a dropping onto your hands. If you live in an apartment or have any issues with your knees/wrists, it might not be a good workout.

Yeah I have, they are well named but fun! Ditto the repetativeness, but they start changing up a lil as you advance. And all fitness programs have this problem, frankly. It’s high impact cardio mostly, a heart rate monitor is seriously recommended.

Enjoy it :o)

I’ve done it..but not finished.  In fact, I’ve gotten through half the program exactly twice, and stopped….just before going to the second phase (of even longer workouts)

I really think I just can’t do a 6 day a week, very intensive workout program. It’s just too much…I have a life to live!

However, you will get nice results in just two weeks or so. It’s an awesome workout, and not as repetitive as others I’ve done.

Yes and they are phenomenal! I’ve finished it once and now I’m starting it again, I lost about 6 lbs. the first time, which is about as much as I needed to lose and I’ve toned up a bunch.

I did two weeks before my knees started really bothering me.  There are a lot of plyometrics so if you have any joint issues it really worsens them.  Otherwise, I did it with my sister and it was pretty fun (even if you did hate your life the entire time…)

My ex is actually one of the guys in the commercial video – they did a reality show style competition, eliminating people weekly, to choose the final participants.  He did the full program, and the results were striking.  He started off with a soft midsection and ended up with ripped abs.

However, during the process, he pretty much hated his life.  He went from being a enjoyable, charismatic person to being grumpy and endlessly tired.  This shift in his personality was also striking, and was part of the reason I ended up breaking things off with him.

He was also constantly hungry because of the limited calories on the meal plan, and apparently he was repeatedly told that is was essential for any real results.

All in all, I can’t say that I’m Insanity’s biggest fan, just from witnessing the way it effectively turned someone into a different, unhappy person.

@sarahbabs: Yeah I actually mess with the meal plan a bit because I found myself feeling the same the first time I started the program. I meshed the Insanity meal plan with the combo P90X one and tweaked it a lil for the right protien/carb/fat ratios and it worked good for me. Which guy is your ex in the infomercial if you don’t mind me asking? That’s kinda neat you got to pretty much see the behind the scenes bit on that. Sorry it took such a toll on your relationship, but everything happens for a reason right? :o)
