Hello Bees! You may have read some of my previous posts about our TTC journey. Me and my husband have been trying for a while now, and we had a SA done on him and that came back normal, but then we were visiting his reg doctor and they took some blood, and ran testosterone levels, and they came back really really low. We are going to see a urologist next wensday, but i was wondering if anyone else experianced something similar? I am not sure how much tesostorone level impacts TTC when his SA was normal, except the fact that he does have low sex drive, and i know low testostorne will affect that. Thanks Bees! 🙂

@mrsw5711: I am curious to know. I think mine suffers from low sex drive too!

My DH was diagnosed with low testosterone last year (very low, I think it was 190). After a doctor tried to put him on test supplementation, we saw a urologist that put him on Clomid, 25 mg every other day to increase his test and preserve fertility. He also used Cialias as needed to help with sex drive issues. He’s been on clomid since last September, and is feeling much better, although the sex drive isn’t completely better. The good news though is that we only TTC for 2 months and are pregnant! So I just wanted you to know there is hope! Just don’t go on testosterone cream/supplementation because it reduces fertility.
There’s not much info on the web for this issue, so I hope my story helps. =) The only thing we had to do different was to really time sex around ovulation because of the low sex drive.

MH DH was diagnosed with low testosterone and low SHBG (sex hormone-binding globulin). He also went in for a SA and it came back normal. His doctor was not concerned and didn’t send him for any additional follow-ups.
We are starting with a fertility clinic July 9 (the same one that did his SA), so we’ll see if they think it is an issue.
@mrsw5711: Sorry that this isn’t much of answer. I know’s it’s two weeks away, but I’ll ask about this at the fertility appt. and post what the Dr. says.
