I’ve done some reading on these and they’re prone to false alarms.

I got the snuza. Look up “baby movement monitor” on amazon and you will see TONs of great reviews for 2 different ones, they are both $99. For me it is worth it to have peace of mind and sleep better. I never saw many reviews on false alarms like PP said, the only times they had false alarms was when they were a little older and the baby rolled around more and the clip fell off the diaper which means it was doing its job and alarming because it didn’t sense any movement.

mrs.stormylove: mentioned, except mine is the Levana Oma (they’re just different versions of the same product).  I also haven’t read many reviews that complain of false alarms.  We chose this one instead of the popular under-the-mattress pad ones (like the Angelcare) because I think it will be more convenient (we can use it wherever she’s sleeping, including when we travel, not just in her crib).  We’re using the Oma movement monitor along with a regular audio monitor for when she’s sleeping in her nursery.  I just like the peace of mind – and I’d much rather take false alarms than be one of the parents who experiences their baby stopping breathing and not getting to her in time.
