i was out of town with limited internet access and my mom found a photo booth deal on groupon. she was VERY excited about it, as it was a very good deal. i told her that if she thought it would be a good idea to go ahead and buy it.

she did.

when i came home i was able to get a good look at the deal. it was totally bogus. this girl’s “website” was clearly based off of an apple template and had no pictures of the actual booth or photos taken in the booth, just a teenaged girl making duck faces and playing with fake moustaches. i was appaled.

i wrote to groupon and got my mom’s money back.

it was seriously crazy. i feel like groupon has gotten too large to truly pre-screen companies they have deals with. its unfortunate.

so just be cautious 🙂

edit: i went back to my groupon complaint email and ended up back on the photo booth’s website, and it appears they are actually legit now. which is good, i guess. but i was just far too paranoid because of their old website
