our wedding is a bit away but we are starting to get some of our stuff printed out and want to put a “social media” card in the StD (and also have it in the invite, on table at wedding etc)
basically we want a way so that we can see our guests pictures after the wedding and there are a few suggestions — one is a hashtag (but that only works for pics on twitter or instagram) another is using a 3rd party app to collect for you (wedding party is free, wedding snap is $100 ish) and the final is asking guests to upload to flickr or your wedding web site etc
what worked for you? anything a total fail?
(we are still 100% going to have our professional photog but since we have many other professional photogs and just iphone crazy friends invited we would love to see all the pics)

I use Photago.com which is a websidte and app somthing like wedding snap but do not cost a much I think. I could also recommend you if possible at your party to use a slideshow with the uploaded photos Live on the weddig. My friends did that and it was great fun becasue then the guest could see the photos during the party which made them upload even more photos….

@littlemisshostess: I downloaded ‘wedpics’ it seems pretty handy, a few friends and I have been fiddling with it to see how it works

thanks so much! I am checking out both of those apps – I use android but I think most of my guests are iphone people so I would like something with both
the wespics site is a little slow for me but might be my computer

I’m using Wedding Party! I like the interface. We’re going to include it on our “Let’s Socialize” card in the invite (also includes our desktop site/app through Appy Couple). Then we’re mentioning it again on the website, and I’ll probably make a sign to display during cocktail hour. Also hoping to print out photo scavenger hunt cards – hopefully guests will participate! We asked that they unplug during the ceremony, but welcomed all of our favorite shutterbugs to snap away for cocktail and reception & I’m hoping it’s not too confusing.
