    I think heel protectors can look really tacky but I used heel protectors since I was getting married on grass. I didn’t use those… the footprint and used Solemates.

    They’re profile and foot print are much smaller and paired with a long wedding dress they weren’t very visible.

    I used solemates too–they were less obvious. But they did the job! I was wearing four inch stilettos in the grass and didn’t sink! 🙂

    The morning of my wedding, someone purchased 8 sets of SoleMates for bridesmaids/our mothers/etc. A couple of them used them successfully for the ceremony and were able to take them off before the reception, but otherwise the heels on the various shoes were either too wide or too small to make them fit or work efficiently (mine had a tendency to slip off halfway which made me more wobbly).

    I’d recommend just practicing walking in the grass with your shoes so that you’re somewhat comfortable.

    @vickyness:

    I used those too! If they’re under the dress no one will see them. At least that was my experience.
