Hi,

I would like to use that color as well, have you had any luck finding items to go with it: napkins, etc?

I am using that color for my October wedding!  I have not been able to find anything this color though (like ribbon, paper, etc.)  Flowers match pretty well because you can do orangish and pinkish colors together that look nice.  I was thinking of mixing dye until it matches the color and then dying some fabric or ribbon to match!  It seems impossible to find anything this color!  I called Alfred Angelo and they said that they do not sell their fabric or any ribbon… so if you find anything please let me know too 🙂

I was seriously considering going with that color because it is so beautiful and I am also having a fall wedding, but I realized it would be extremely difficult to match. I knew I wanted oranges in my bouquet and decorations and I did not want to have to try and match everything perfectly to the dress. Instead I went with a chocolate brown with ivory sash for the dress so that I can accent with the oranges/reds/yellows in everything else. Good luck!!

I think that color is so pretty!  We’re not using it b/c we went a different direction, but it was on the top of my list.

Could you bring in a more neutral color and use that too?  Like a pp said, a chocolate brown?  Grey is wicked popular right now.  I read that navy is the new black.  Black might be too Halloween though.

Or what if you used Paper Source’s metallic copper items?  Because of the shine, it would be like you didn’t mean it to MATCH but it would still go nicely.

Maybe google other names for a color like that, like copper.  Might help with invites, linens, etc.  GL!!  And I think bright green flowers would look awesome!

I love the spice color. I am using that color for my October wedding. I am having trouble with any type of decorations for the reception. It seems like it is impossible to match. What colors look good with it? What color shoes are they wearing with that color?

Sealed YAY SPICE LOVERS LIKE ME !!

sOo i also am thinking about the spice color.. My wedding is Mid september as well as one of the bee’s .. I am thinking about jumping on into it… More yellows than oranges.. ivorys .. I had a vision of Martha’s New Honey and Wheat combo with the spice and some greens and hints of chocolate or brown.. sounds like alot but my venue has light wood floors and cream walls so the honey and wheat are there already.. I think i will try to add the spice with flowers or jewels in the center piece because i may be hard to really get a color match.. But have you tryed to look into fabric stores i have no idea how hard it is to make table linens but i was thinking about it because i have someone in my family who sews.. I love the color the wedding party fluttering in the room alone is decor Sealed instead of killing yourself to find spice table cloths which i will attempt to do any way untill i give up.. lol my next option is to check flowers and decor .. candles , ribbions , stones or jewels , even fruit i think grapefruit kinda matches it slice some up and throw em in a center piece.. i will keep you guys posted if i see something.. SPice rocks.. but now im like how do i dress the men in brown suits ? i think black and spice might give a halloween feel whacha think ?Undecided

i’ve seen dresses in that color before – they also had a couple mocha/browns in there.  The paper goods and decor didn’t have to be matchy matchy, b/c it’s a rich fall color.  Don’t get bent out of shape about it – it’ll work out.

i am using spice as the bridesmaid colors in my fall wedding. i’m letting the girls choose the style dress just as long as it is spice and floor length. my future mother-in-law found a spice colored bridesmaid dress on ebay for $30 so she bought that so that I had material to use in various things (i’m planning on using it as the sash for the flower girl’s dress and possibly on the sweet table at the reception). the color palette i’m using is:  mocha, clover, spice, and champagne. the future mil is wearing mocha and my mom is wearing champagne with the clover lace. for invites, my fiance and i wanted to keep it simple and use champagne with mocha (my dress is ivory). we are having our wedding in the outskirts of chicago and are using Black Tie Formalwear for the tuxs. they have a solid vest color that is almost exactly the spice color (i also noticed that Men’s Wearhouse has a spice colored patterned vest that was really nice). i think i’m going to stick with having ivory beads/pearls for the bridesmaid jewelry and myself. i’m having uplighting at our reception in the spice color so that it gets brought out in the room and i’m also trying to get a close spice color accented in the centerpieces (there is an ebay seller that makes floating candles in all of the colors of alfred angelo and i had her make maple leaf floating candles in the spice color for me…they turned out great and cost $.50 each). for bouquets…i’m doing orange, yellow and the yellow with pink tiped roses. they also have green accented in among the roses.

I did a similar color (cinnamon in another dress line) and my coordinating colors were brown, gold, and some reds and oranges.  Mostly we had chocolate brown and cinnamon for the attire.  Our invitations were ivory and brown and were placed in a red pocketfold.  The reception decor was mostly gold, orange, and red.  Everything looked really nice together and was perfect for fall.
