At the beginning of the month I ordered clutches from Etsy Seller mollusa .
She has really great clutches for great prices.
I put a deposit down and she said she will have a sample pic for me in 10 days and clutches in 35.
I messaged her on Etsy to see what the status is and if she had a chance to start my sample yet. That was about 3 days ago. So I thought I would read her feedback on etsy again. Turns out that because she is in Poland and due to the flooding she has been really backed up on a lot of orders. Communication has been faulty. Seems like up until the last month or so her feedback has been 99% positive. Girls have been posting that their order hasn’t arrived till like 3-4 months later.
Um. My wedding is in two months. I don’t have four months to wait. I just wish she would get back to me already. I know the flooding is out of her control. But having told me that the clutches would be ready in 35 days if she can’t deliver she should at least email me back and let me know.
The part that annoys me is that she’s not responding to my email but yet she has set up new deposit listings on Etsy since my email. So I know she’s been on Etsy and is choosing to not respond to my email!
I’m going to probably give her another week to get back to me if not I’m going to ask for my deposit back and look elsewhere.
Which s*cks because I really love her clutches.
Anyone else dealt with her or dealing with her and having issues contacting her?

I loooove her clutches, and messaged her as well about doing a custom order. I’ve sent her several messages about various questions I had. However, she’s not very good about replying, and I ran into the same problem you did-I had sent mutiple messages with no response, but she updates her etsy, along with new deposits on there. However, this happened to me over a period of a month or two back in Feb-April, so it’s not just a recent occurance like yours. Hope that helps!

Okay, at first, I was kind of like, “Whoa, her area’s flooding? Cut the girl some slack!” But then I read that she’s clearly been on Etsy, and that’s totally not okay. I’ve only had good experiences on Etsy so I don’t know how this is done, but do they have a feature where you can report her or flag her so the Etsy staff knows she’s acting shady with the orders and being non-responsive?

I wanted to order from her- but the feedback was not good enough for me. There was plenty of positive- but even before the flooding supposedly became an issue, there were plenty of buyers saying the communication was bad and they weren’t receiving their items on time. I have plenty of time until the wedding but ultimately decided it wasn’t worth it.

So here’s what’s been happening. I contacted her a couple days saying unfortunately my wedding is getting too close and while I understand her hardships I need to know if she can deliver. If not I need to look at other gifts. She replied within TWO minutes. Saying please give me one more day to show you sample pics. And I replied can you guarantee that I will receive my clutches before the agreed date. She promised. Well it’s two days later and still nothing.I emailed her today asking for a refund if I cannot see a pic of my clutches in process by end of day today. And have them mailed out by end of next week.
I hate to do this to her because I do love her clutches and I understand she’s going through a rough time. But like one of the etsy buyers wrote in their feedback if that is the case she really should close her shop down for a bit to get back on her feet.

You only have 45 days to file a dispute with Paypal, so I would actually act faster than you are planning on. I’ve had a little trouble with the occasional vendor on ETSY – I think they get overwhelmed when the height of wedding season hits…so yes, follow up in an offical channel – SOON.

She doesn’t use PayPal but a different third party. So really I have like…2 more days before I can file a dispute. But if I don’t hear anything by tonight I’m a filing a report tomorrow AM.
Grrr. When I messaged her this morning there were no new listings yet. Now there is which means she has been on Etsy. But yet no repsonse yet. I’m giving her till tonight and I’m giving up.

I had also really, REALLY wanted to order from her, but when I planned to order (a month ago? 6 weeks?) she already had really bad reviews. It made me too nervous. Even though I had a few months to go before the wedding, I was worried they wouldn’t come in time, so I got clutches from elsewhere. Good luck!

🙁 One side of me keeps hoping she pulls through. There’s been random cases where she did. The other sides wishes I did what you did!
What seller did you end up going with?

Just wanted to drop a quick note in case anyone was still thinking of using her.
I contacted her yesterday letting her know that unfortunately because I still have not heard from her I would like my money back or else I would be forced to report her to Etsy and file a dispute for my money. Well I sign on today and still no response. So I try to file a dispute and while looking for a transaction ID on my Etsy purchases find out that the purchase with her is GONE from my purchase history.
So I contacted Etsy Live Help and they agree that most likely she deleted teh transaction. Which also means I canNOT leave her feedback. Because the transaction is canceled by her even though I have a transaction ID via a email Etsy sent me I can’t file a dispute the regular way via their website.
The tech I spoke to online will be sending our chat transcript directly to the Abuse Department. I should be contacted by them hopefully today or possibly tomorrow.
I have filed a dispute with the third party paying agency (not PayPal) that she uses to try adn get my money back. Meanwhile I’ve made print screens of all our conversations on Etsy in case that goes disappearing as well.
So the lesson?
Do NOT buy from mollusa!
Would appreciate any reputable suggestions for cluthces. Thanks!

Aw, so bummed for you! That stinks. Good luck! I wish I had some recommendations for you but I am only a month into planning and haven’t gotten to accessories yet 😉

eclu <–etsy seller has some cute ones, bit expensive for what they are though (imo), I don’t think they have a quick turn around though :/

I used PoppyPunch on Etsy. The cluthes are not in the same category as the ones from Mollusa, but they are cute, extremely well prices and arrived very quickly coming from Thailand.

Just to give everyone an update. Last week through the third party agency mollusa promised that she will ship out the clutches and that they will arrive on time. A day went by nothing. So I wrote back that if I do not receive a valid tracking # by end of next business day I will ask my money to be refunded. I got a tracking # the next day. However, the status of the shipment has been at “Billing information has been sent to UPS. Check site later for updated shipment status or contact shipper for more details.” since 7/8/10. Had she shipped it out it should’ve arrived by yesterday. Clearly she was once again yanking my chain. I emailed the third party back and told them that. My refund has been authorized and currently being processed.
I am also formally reporting her to Etsy.
It angers me that I can not leave her feedback.
It angers me that she lied to me continually when she knew that this was a gift for someone. Now with only a few weeks until my wedding i am left scrambling. Shame on me for trusting her.

So sorry you had to deal with that (and are still dealing with it!) I just went to her site and she doesn’t have anything listed for sale. Hopefully she’s shutting down her shop until she can actually follow through with orders!
