Meee though maybe waiting longer since we’re first getting weddingbands since they`re more important to us.

Yay! So exciting.  I waited a few months to get my ring made (it was custom) and for the first week I was sad – after I got over it and it was totally worth the wait.

@coure13:  I love that ring. It was a little too high (and expensive) for me but it is definitely beautiful. I love the sapphire in the middle and am thinking about seeing if I can get one in mine

Booo πŸ™ we are still deciding the details. IT sucks! I am no longer “waiting” but waiting for the ring is going to be torture!!

@coure13:  That is an EXTREMELY long wait. Even if they don’t normally make it in yellow gold, it shouldn’t take that long to cast it.

Whoa, that is an absurdly long time to wait. Hopefully they’ll get it to you ahead of schedule!

I’m probably waiting 3-6 months as well. I’m currrently on the waitlist for an Amora so I can compare it with a similar sized diamond. I’ve picked my setting, but I can’t order it yet because our jeweler will need the dimensions of the stone prior to ordering the setting! Part of me just wants to go with the diamond and have a ring on my finger in 4-6 weeks, but I’m really intrigued by the Amora.

Since you’re upgrading, does that mean you have another e-ring to wear while you wait?

I’ve been waiting about 2 months for my custom wedding band to be made at Zales/Peoples, so same store as your ring probably. They need my engagement ring as well to match the band properly. I just approved the second wax model so it should be ready in 2 weeks, and then I’ll get them soldered together, another 10 days. I play around with other rings and bands I own meanwhile. I’ve enjoyed wearing stacked rings and changing the look. But I can’t wait to wear my precious wedding rings again!

What a beautiful ring you chose from the VW collection πŸ™‚

Long wait for me too! It’s ended up being 4-5 months now to make my custom ring. Never thought it would take this long but the wheels of customization have moved slowly. On the plus side, we’re down to the wax molding and it’s exactly what I’ve envisioned. Should be in actual production soon!

I will say it has felt weird being engaged without a ring, but it bothers him way more than it bothers me. I’m going to have these rings for the rest of my life, so I can live without them for a few months. πŸ˜‰

My honey is having a ring custom made for me and told me it’ll probably be August when it’s on my finger. We’re in that stage where we aren’t “officially” engaged, but we might as well be, all things considered. lol

It’s driving me crazy, but I know it’s for the best. I’m so excited!
