- Wedding: February 2011
So here’s the scenario: Darling Husband and I were already married in a private ceremony. We’re having a brunch reception for friends and extended family, which is what this invitation is for. The brunch is sort of “nice picnic casual.” For the invite, there are two cards enclosed, the first one is a sort of announcement of the marriage that reads: “Jenny Lastname & Darling Husband Lastname were married xxxdate in City, State.” Then the second one is the invite. I’m including both because I want it to be crystal clear that people will not be witnessing vows. What do you think of this wording for the invite?

Address of a Really Awesome Location
I like the informality of just using our first names, but I had thought that if we used our first and last it help to convey that I am keeping my last name. On the other hand, I’m not sure that anyone would get that.
Thoughts? Help? Alternate wording ideas? Thanks!
