I’m actually starting tomorrow. I wanted to take a few days to read the book. I’ve got a stash of eggs all ready to go!

aphroditejones:  I understand, it is extreme but like you I am not over weight or have any illness I’m trying to correct. But ive had major improvement in cravings and am using this as a way to reset my unhealthy eating habits (sweets and processed foods). I have also learned a lot about cooking and some awesome recipes! My fi loved the whole 30 compliant shepherd pie I made the other day. I can’t wait to add certain foods back, dairy being the first! I too miss cheese!!!!

I really feel this is setting us up for a healthier lifestyle!

How are you ladies doing? For those that started on the first, you’re almost there! Have any of you noticed any non-scale victories?

I finally started up my second Whole30 on Monday. I ended my last one mid-April, so it’s been a couple months and with moving and not going grocery shopping or cooking, my diet has been pretty crappy. Surprisingly though, I maintained 11 of the 12 lbs that I lost during the first Whole30, so I was pretty impressed with that. I was thinking that I’d probably gained it all back (the scale was packed up and I hadn’t weighed myself in a couple months). So it’s Day 5 for me now. So far so good, it’s actually much easier this time knowing the recipes that I like and the best ways to grocery shop/meal plan.

Unfortunately I didn’t make it — somehow I managed to get pneumonia and my nurse practitioner insisted that honey would really help.

alamana:  Aww. That sucks. I’ve had several people that I know get pneumonia recently, it seems to be pretty common this year. Hope that you are feeling better!

SithLady:  yesterday was my day 31, I made it! I lost 10 pounds, an inch or so from my waste, and went down a dress size. I do not really feel more energetic. But my skin has really improved. We made one reintroduction.

I have gone from a coffe/ caffine addict to less than a cup a morning.

I would like to go for another round. I hope to start on July 6th and go for 65 days.

Freya88:  Congrats! Those are great results!

ETA: I saw you mentioned the Shepherd’s pie earlier…. that is our favorite recipe, we make it all the time! It’s so good!
