I’m 99% convinced on ivory over light gold (which I find looks much more white in pictures) with one hang-up…I’m getting married in Canada in the winter, and there is almost guaranteed to be snow. We are excited about that and want lots of outdoor pics, but I’m concerned the dress will look dirty against the snow. I think it’s different enough from white that it will just contrast in a nice way….but does anyone have wedding pics with a non-white dress on snow or thoughts?

Personally, I have always thought white dresses blend in with the snow – if you are ok with/want this, awesome! I have seen many lovely photos of this. On the flip side, I really love the idea of gold in the snow because then the bride stands out from her surroundings. In terms of ivory, can you order a swatch and drive to snow or look at photos to see what you like?

I had an outdoor winte wedding and wore a blush dress and I loved how it turned out against the snow! I got a lot of compliments on how great it looked against the snow too, I think you should go for it!

@razzelbride: Love it!
@lawyeretta: I don’t think the dress will look dirty at all against the snow.
