I was hoping to get away without a bra, but my alterations girl is suggesting that I wear a bra instead of using the sewn in cups. My dress, Casablanca 2030, has a low V back. I’m not sure where to start looking. Thoughts?

Thank you!! are there others I should try?

that VS one doesn’t really look like it’ll go low enough for your dress. why did your alterations girl suggest a bra? if it’s because she can’t do cups, i think you need to find someone else to do your alterations.
otherwise, i’d try out something like this:

This is the one I got, but I see that there aren’t any pictures on the site that show how low the back is. I’m not sure if it will be low enough for that dress or if any will be for that matter. They do have this bra in stores so you could at least try it on and see for yourself.

I was going to suggest something similar to cardus
… I don’t know what else would work with that low of a back.

I wore this for some of my formal dresses with low/no backs and it worked great for me (reuseable too- I think I wore it probably 8 times before the stickies stopped being sticky). I’m small- a 36b and I felt like it was plenty supportive

I’d call whomever you plan to use for your alterations and ask her to suggest a brafitter in your area.

I’m wondering too about the sewn in cups. My dress is low cut just like yours so I just assumed that cups would be best!

Yeah I thought that cups would be the way to go. But, in talking to her, apparently they don’t work very well for larger/heavier busts.
She said she could do cups, but she seemed certain that I would be more comfortable with a bra.

Yep I’m wearing one and I bought this:
I got it a while ago and its so perfect, totally worth the money.

I wore this contraption for my wedding… it was in August in Alabama so the “sticky bra” was not an option since it was 97 degrees on my wedding day and sweat makes it unsticky haha

I ordered this one:
Fairly inexpensive at $38. the only thing is it doesn’t provide a huge amount of support, but I don’t think anything with a super low back will, but it’s certainly better than nothing.
