@beautifulmama28:  I went hunting for inspiration photos for you! Here are some brides with colored sashes in their gowns:

Hope these help!

I  am wearing a bright yellow sash…but I may be DIYing an applique on it. Will be similiar to this:

If you are interested in the rhinestone piece – I etsy searched ‘rhinestone applique’. Paid 13 dollars for it and bought 5 yards of ribbon. All I have to do is iron them together and I will be all set to go for $25-ish dollars instead of paying $150-$200. And I get one in yellow!

I think that would work…I just know getting a bow to be *just perfect* on your wedding day may frustrate the daylights out of you. My need to make a bow ahead of time and glue it on a ribbon and the have the ribbon snap together under the bow or soemthing like that.

Then again you might not be as neurotic as I am … 🙂

@beautifulmama28:  i am obsessed with thin, unadorned ribbon sashes.  i find myself drawn to entire dresses and looks purely because of a thin sash.  i think it’s feminine, understated, and lovely.  some more inspiration:

Last snap was awesome. I think so, they were used red satin ribbons.
