I fell madly in love with the pictures of all the girls getting ready together in matching robes, and I’ve been searching for some for a while.

I found really nice bathrobes on sale at Macy’s this past weekend and I plan to get each girl’s initial embroidered on the robe, and give them as part of their Bridesmaid or Best Man gift.  Mine is white, and the others are light blue.

My husband took me on a vacation as part of my proposal. He bought me a dress as part of the surprise. So I wore that. I had contemplated getting matching outfits for us, but I thought that wearing something he had bought me would make the pictures mean more to me in the future.

I like the rob idea also. I think its really cute. Also its easy to remove so you dont mess up your hairs or makeup!

I think the matching robes would be cute. I think my bridesmaids would have fun with it, if I can find them cheap enough I will get everyone one. But remember, ladies! If you are wearing a strapless dress make sure not to wear a bra the night before/day of! Otherwise you might have crappy bra lines on your shoulders.

When you’re getting ready, make sure to wear something that you can open from the front so that you don’t have to lift your garment over your hair/makeup after you’re done (:

I’ve seen some of my brides wear this satin robe by Victoria’s Secret and it is SOO cute, I love the contrasting colors (: And it looks great in pictures! At $78, I do think it’s a bit pricey just for a robe..

A less expensive alternative from VS would be this satin kimono wrap they have ($42). One of my clients used Swarovski crystals to spell out “BRIDE” on the back, and her bridal party wore the same robe in a different color with “BRIDESMAID” spelled on the back, also using the crystals.

If you like this look & look around online, I’m sure you’ll be able to find even better alternatives (: Good luck!

We wore whatever. I think robes are very cute, they just weren’t in my budget.

My Bridesmaid or Best Man present (part of it) is going to be customized silk robes I ordered on Etsy. So excited to get them! They won’t be totally match-y since each girl is getting one with a pattern that suits her, but I think they’ll love them.

My girls already have their tanks, if they want they can wear those, those were mostly for the Engagement Picnic! But I plan on doing the Robes next for us to all get ready in together while our pics our done!

There are some great deals on Walmart.com I hear!

I bought each of my girls black tank tops with rhinestone “bridesmaid” or “MOH” on them. I asked them each to wear them while we get ready. I will wear a white tank with “bride” inscribed. I think it will make for a cute photo op!   …not so sure how we’re going to take them after getting our hair done though!
