My Mother-In-Law had a fiance before she met my Father-In-Law,  the fiance kicked a cat into a river(!!) Mother-In-Law dumped him on the spot.

lolita1027: How incredibly disrespectful!! I would have told her to leave and never come back because she was no longer welcome. That is of course after I clocked her square in the nose. B*tch.

Same! I find I even hate people who don’t treat their dogs to the standard of living I feel they deserve which is somewhat ridiculous as you can’t tell people how to take care of their dog the same way you wouldn’t tell someone how to raise their child. I actually got a person evicted because their dog was home alone all day and all night. Poor thing barked non stop. I filed with the city and everything. THere’s a dog in my mom’s neighbourhood who keeps running away (they have like 7 children) and always comes to her door. My mom just kind of lets her in now and then and they hangout and the dog goes home when she’s rested lol

If someone kicks my dog they will no longer be a friend. Period.

But I do understand it if a stranger does something (like use their knee) to get a dog that is jumping on them off — you can’t let your dog jump on people. You just can’t. It’s beyond impolite as some people are terrified of dogs (even the little ones). If someone does something physical to a dog to get the dog off of them, that is well within their right.

loverandbeloved:  it wasn’t even her cat. They were just out for a walk and he saw a random cat. Not surprised she ditched him so fast

lolita1027:  I’d be kicking her ass out of my house. You don’t have to be an animal person (though I don’t get it), but you DO have to be kind.

For me it honestly depends if it was a malicious kick, or a shoo away with their foot. I have several family members and friends who are afraid/really don’t like animals. And if my cat or dog comes near them they’ll just stick out their foot to keep the distance. That’s fine with me, not everyone is a animal person.

The only person that actually kicks at the animals is DHs grandmother. But you can’t exactly kick a 85 year old crippled women out of a house.

My dog HATES my FI’s dad. She practically thinks she is a human and loves people so it is very concerning the reaction she has when he comes over. He is the only person I have ever seen her not let into our apartment. I got pretty upset the last time he came over because he was going on and on about how stupid she was for not recognizing him, like that was the reason she barking and growling with her hackles up. He thinks that animals need to have some sort of job (like a junkyard dog) otherwise they are useless and he doesn’t treats them like pets. I will not allow my Fiance to take her over to his dad’s house unless I am with him because I don’t trust the way he treats her to elicit that type of reaction.

I feel this way about people that are rude to any pets in our house. They can just leave, if it’s so bothersome. (we don’t currently have a dog, we have cats)

As far as I’m concerned, our fur babies live here, the assholes who are rude do not.

If someone ever kicked at any pet we had, I’d probably end up in jail for assault, because I don’t do that shit.

When my dog was 6 months old, my ex kicked him across the living room in a pair of steel toed boots and said “Either that f*cker goes, or I do”

Bye Felicia. I was moved completely out of that apartment 8 hours later.

That dog was my best friend and shadow until the day he died.
