Honestly, it sounds like an absolutely perfect size!

Mine is a 1.25ct round F1 near colorless from MoissaniteCo, on a size 6.0 finger. It gives me just the right amount of finger coverage and all the sparkle that I wanted. *apologies for the muffin top around the band;  my fingers tend to swell when I eat salty food.

I was so reluctant to go with a moissanite without ever seeing one in person, but now I’m so glad I did.  It has exceeded my expectations and I get a ton of compliments on it.

Also worth mentioning: I originally bought a 1.5ct round (Charles and Colvard) near colorless H&A but found it to be a bit too large for my taste. Plus for some reason, the larger stone didn’t perform as well (not as many rainbow flashes, looked TOO white and flat) in any lighting. I realize this could be due to choosing the H&A cut, but still, I was disappointed.  I wound up giving it to my mother and going with the slightly smaller F1 round brilliant.

btw, I love the band you’ve chosen.  I think it’d look fantastic with a cushion center.

I’m a size 6.5 and my stone is a lab diamond but should still give you a good idea of finger coverage. Mine is a 1.76 carat F vs2

I love the amount of finger coverage it gives…

I have a size 5.25 finger, but the ring is 5.75 (I guessed wrong and don’t want to get it resized because it ruins the integrity of the ring). My moissanite is 7.35mm.

How many mm? I think it will be just fine!

I was in the same exact boat as you a few months ago! When I was at the jewelers I thought my 1.5 ct ring looked perfect on my size 5 finger, but whenever I saw similar photos online it looked huge. I agonized for MONTHS about whether we made the right decision. After my fiancé proposed though, we both thought the ring looked just right on my hand. I think if you felt 1 ct was too small, you’ll be really happy with 1.5! I honestly think it’s the perfect size… I get tons of compliments, even from strangers ๐Ÿ™‚

Ps… I think cameras somehow make stones look bigger. Mine always looks bigger in photos than in real life. So my best advice is to try to focus on how the ring feels and looks on your hand instead!

I have a 1.3 carat (7.03 x 7.06) lab diamond. My finger size is 6.5.

It looks a bit bigger here than it is because it’s in a temporary holding/setting thing that is very very high.

I did try on some 1.5 carat stones in store and felt they looked too big on my hand (in the round cut).
