I’m new on here… been following for a bit but thought this would be the best place to get some advice!
Recently engaged and my fiance surprised me with a beautiful 1.4 ct rose quartz pear-shaped Ballerina Ring from Gemvara (see below):
Does anyone else out there have the Pear Ballerina? Or perhaps just any style of the Ballerina? If so, what did you do for a wedding band?
I’ve been talking to a Gemvara consultant but none of their bands seem to fit and they don’t do customizations apparently. The issue is that the cage comes all the way down to my finger so there’s no fitting underneath it, I don’t think. I thought maybe something with a tracer but Gemvara doesn’t have anything large enough to get all the way around the rounded bit.
Any experience/suggestions? The metal type is palladium so I’d like the band to be the same if possible.

Congrats on your engagement! And your ring is beautiful. I don’t have a ring similar to this, but my ring will also not fit flush with a straight band. I have decided to go with a small gap between the rings instead of getting someting to curve around.
Maybe you could go to some local jewelry stores and just try on some plain bands to see if you’re ok with a gap between your rings?
You could also ask around at local shops to see if they can do a custom wedding band for you that fits around your ring.
Last option would be to look at curved or chevron bands and see if one of them will fit fine with your ring. Many of these look like they might fit well. And a lot of jewelers might be able to adjust a design to have the same curve as your engagement ring.

bumblebug : Thanks for the suggestions! Will definitely be looking into the chevron style, love it! I think that would work perfect
