mine looks like this except it has diamons all around except for the very bottom. We had it custom made to look mostly like the ritani though.
MemberThanks to everyone that posted about their rings and the wonderful pictures. They really helped me. We went today to look at rings (sooo exciting!!) and it looks like we are going to have one custom made. It will have channel set round diamonds on the sides of the center stone and be cathedral set and have pave diamonds on the sides going up the cathedral. We then want a wedding band on each side, but since the cathedral will be higher then the bands they won’t cover the pave diamonds. I can’t wait!
MemberMine actually has bead-set diamonds on the side. Because it has a slight tilt in the angle, it isn’t a problem with the wedding band. (like the one @kands posted- they usually have a slight angle. I have never had a problem, and I enjoy the “surprise” of the diamonds on the side.

MemberDon’t have my wedding band yet, but have tried them on together at the store and so far so good! My rings are rounded across the top, so that prevents them from rubbing against each other. and the Engagement Ring is tapered in the center. – A friend of mine has some small pave on her band that fits against the Engagement Ring. No report of diamond damage. I think it just depends on the ring design and pave size.
MemberMy ring has diamonds on the band… but not sure if they are pave? They’re set into the top of the band so the sides (metal) will be the only part that rubs. No problems with it yet (been almost a year) and I’m pretty hard on it.
Can’t stress enough – take it in for regular cleanings/checkups and get it insured! I have no worries about my ring b/c of this.

There’s my Engagement Ring. I never really had a problem with it. I took it in for inspection once and they said that one of the diamonds were loose, so I had to go without it for a couple of weeks while they fixed it but other than that no issues 🙂 I don’t have a pic yet of it with the wedding band, but it came as a set and fits snugly right up against the Engagement Ring. The band is lined with diamonds as well 🙂
MemberLoved my ring! Unusual to have bagette diamonds up side. No problems with anything and still haven’t seen a ring like it. I love all these pave designs because they can be so unique.

MemberI have pave diamonds on the side and I love the look but you do have to be very careful with it. I’ve already lost two small diamonds on the back side…:( good thing my jeweler will replace them for free..
MemberI dont know if mine are technically pave, though the jeweler calls them that (they seem big for pave though), but here is mine. I love a stone within 1 hour of my FH proposing. I was panicked. Luckily, he found it, and we tucked it into the box for safe keeping…. the jeweler said she would replace anything that falls out, but we are glad we found it anyway. When they went to put the stone back in they found 2 more loose…. needless to say I get VERY nervous about more falling out. The setting is some weird kind that has the stones snap in. Hopefully some custom bands will help shore everything up, at least so Im not so paranoid. 🙂

no i haven’t had in problems with mine at all *got from a really good local jeweler tho vs a national chain*
i’m wearing my band now bc Fiance got the big rock ring too big so I have to wear the band which has pave diamonds on it already in the opposite order so the big ring stays on *we do everything so backwards lmao* no problems at all though with it post pics as soon as you get yours would love to see it

MemberI have the pave diamonds as well as other cool details on the side of mine, and my brilliant solution to the wedding band issue was to wear my e-ring on my right hand after the wedding. I didn’t want to hide any of those little sparklers. 🙂
