Star66:  tell me about it…the sash I tried on was just a lace applique with some sequence and it was $60!  I found one on etsy close to like the one I made and it was $125…my diy totalled a whopping $7. 😉

I just found my dress at David’s Bridal and it is newer by Melissa Sweet! I keep having second thoughts about it (I need to get off Pinterest!) but then I remember how it made me feel and how much I loved it 🙂 I plan on making the neckline more sweetheart and maybe adding a pearl/blingy sash.

krpayne87:  thank you! I actually used a lace headband I found at a craft store and ripped to headband part off and the rhinestones it had. I dies it with tea to make it ivory and then cut it in half as it was small. Look on etsy though…there are tons of lace appliques.  Good luck!

mhood00:

thanks y’all! Yeah I have heard horror stories but my consultant was super professional and helpful and the dress was under my $1500 budget so it worked! I will say though…the dressing rooms are so small that at one point when I was crammed in with 4 ballgowns hanging in there I probably almost suffocated by lace and tulle, LOL.
