Anyone try the Kayla itsines workouts? I’m a august bride and really wanna tone up my arms and really slim down my belly! I did the first 4 weeks and have seen a nice change but hurt my shoulder/been sick for the last 2 weeks so I’ve just been doing cardio and my normal work out routine till I’m feeling better! Her thing is spendy but I got mine off eBay for like $7! It’s a 12 week guide and was very challenging to me and I’d consider myself in pretty good shape! 5’7 134-138 and my dress is a size 4! I really try to not focus on what the scale says just how I’m looking since I know I’m building muscle! I’m starting to do protein shakes but wanting to maybe add a fat burner or some kind of supplement to help build muscle! Anyone have a good supplemeant routine? I would LOVE to fit into my size 25/26 jeans by the wedding!

I have to lose 2″ off my butt so that my dress is more comfortable. The seamstress said there is “very little to work with in the seams” so I can’t let it out much, if at all.

But I’m at my comfortable weight.  This is where my body likes to sit! (5’8″ 165lbs)

So I’m trying to up my exercise game back to where I was last year! I’m adding more cardio, and more pilates/yoga to help lean me out.  I LOVE weightlifting, but I really need to not grow the booty right now!  I’m doing lots of shoulders and arms though!

Yup I’m in the same boat. I’m 5’4 and weigh 127lbs and trying to lose 10lbs and tone up but it feels like its taking forever! I just ordered the 21 day fix and I’m hoping that will help me keep motivated!

SObride2015:  After reading this thread, I just found it online for $2.99!  Going to check it out.  PM me if you want motivation / to compare workout notes!  I’m 5’4″ and ~132 and while my dress fits perfectly, I’d like to tone up inside it before my wedding in June! 🙂

NOLABride2015:  I just saw this! I havent done it in about a month hurt my shoulder week 4 and then was sick! Now I’m nervous to start back up! But I NEED to start! I order a bikini for honeymoon and the bottoms made me feel SO chubby! Hopefully a bigger size will make me feel better! Just got my dress back from alterations and isn’t as nive on my booty since working out! I wanna look good in my bikini AND dress! So I guess squats to keep my booty but also tone up! Did you start it!?

First thing to ditch would be the scale! I used to obsess about my actual weight and since I would never see much of a difference in losing lbs, I would give up easily.  After schooling and starting my career in therapy,  I learned a lot about proper exercise, eating and muscles.  I also thought I wanted to lose “just a few lbs” bit took the advice of a bodybuilding friend of mine and ditche the  steady cardio (not completely) and started lifting weights and doing circuit exercises (mainly body weight ex..high reps and short rest breaks) and I got the exact results i was looking for, but barely lost any weight lbs wise, just inches and toned up (muscle weighs more than fat). Of course, I also changed my eating (the most important part) and ate about six meals a day with a lot of lean chicken and fish,  eggs, brown rice,  veggies and protein bars/shakes! These are my before and after…

I’m 5’4″ and around 130. I’ve started lifting weights again after recovering from surgery, and the scale still won’t budge. It’s always around 130-132….I can see it in my arms and shoulders and my body feels more toned, but I also worry I’m overeating since my appetite has increased after I  added weights back into my routine.

I definitely need to order my gown in a month. I have been concerned about my body changing from before vs after taking up weights again.

DreamingBee:  Do NOT focus on the scale. That’s one of the worst things you can do. I lost many inches and toned out as you can see in my before and after pictures, but according to the scale I barely lost anything. You said yourself you are seeing a difference, so stick to that. It’s obviously working. If I were you, I’d chuck the scale! I weigh myself maybe once every six months and that’s it. I go off of how I look. Remember, muscle weighs more than fat so its possible to even gain weight but still look much better and smaller!
