I think I’m going to change my center stone (1.4 carat radiant) and I am back and forth between a princess and a round brilliant within the same carat size. I’m now back to thinking about a round….something I NEVER thought I’d do/want. But when I thought about how a round is cut and how it looks (in size) in comparison to a fancy cut (faces up larger), I feel like I’d get more bang, size and sparkle for my buck in a round. I have such big, ugly hands and I want whatever I get to look proportionate to my hand, so if you have pictures of your 1.3 – 1.5 carat round brillant solitaires on a size 7 finger, I’d love to see how they look. Bonus if you have a split shank (the kind of setting I have; I don’t want to change my setting).

Here’s my size 7, but it’s 2.12ct and I’ve got almost 50 year old hands wearing this new engagement ring, Lol!

@MusicBee76: Here’s my 1.5 carat RB on my 7.5 finger. (I’ve always known I had huge man hands. I thought I was a size 9 and was surprised after having 2 different jewelers size me at 7.25/7.5) In this pic it’s not in the setting yet, just the tension clasp the loose stone came with, but you get the gist of it. We are having it set in a split shank double halo setting.
