ellagrace:  I have two wedding bands. Not married yet so I have to wait to wear mine (another four months, 23 days!) They came with my set. I love the versatility of wearing them different ways. My bands are also very thin so the three bands together are closer to the ‘average’ ring set size/width (with an engagement ring and one wedding band)

Fiance and I are high school sweethearts and have been together for almost 10 years. I’ve been thinking of different ways to incorporate both wedding bands in the ceremony. We’re thinking of maybe doing something like Past (my engagement ring), present (one band) , future (one band). Just have to hash out those details though!

I have no pix, but I have MANY w-rings. O:) One came from the wedding ceremony, so, maybe you could argue that I only have one. But it was a family heirloom given to us, so, maybe you could argue that I never really got one for myself. However, we’ve purchased (or inherited) several “everyday bands” (plain and in three colors: white, yellow, and rose, that I can stack with my e-ring or anniversary rings) as well as the afore-mentioned anniversary bands and each of those could stand in as a w-ring, since so many use anniversary bands as their w-rings.

I have several wedding rings, too. My original wedding band, which I wore for many years (until I gained so much weight that I “outgrew” it >.O) is a wide metal band with a design in the middle. It’s white and yellow gold.

Once I got my anniversary ring last year, I was on a quest to create the “set” I had always dreamed of having (at long last — ha, ha!). Problem was, I could not make up my mind on what was perfect with my ring. So I have a .5ct half eternity in white gold, a plain rose gold band, a yellow gold 5-stone anniversary band (which I hope to have reset one of these days), and a couple of tiny rose and white gold “twist” bands. This past Christmas, I finally got the band I think is “perfect” with my anniversary ring, so I feel like my set is finally “done”. That band is a flush-set eternity band in platinum. I also have my dad’s wedding band (white gold), which I sometimes wear on its own.

For me, having so many bands kind of came about because I couldn’t make up my mind on what looked right or “perfect” as part of the set I wanted to make. If I had had a better plan in my head for what I wanted, I might not have ended up with so many bands. At the same time, I don’t regret having them. I sometimes stack the RG band or half eternity with my ring. And I often wear the RG band, my original band, or my dad’s band alone when I am exercising. I wear the 5-stone band on my right hand and sometimes with my original ERing, which is also a 5-stone. I’m kind of a jewelry addict, and I love having options — lol.

I have a bunch of wedding bands! The bottom pic is the matching band that came with my e-ring. The top pic is with some of my stacking bands. I also have a few a straight diamond bands and a plain yellow gold band too. I like to have options. Lol

I sometimes wear two because I like the stacked look every now and then.

I like variety, too; I’m a celebration stack kind of girl. My hubs is like, ‘yeah, whatever, as long as your finger looks married, I’m good.’ ๐Ÿ™‚

I should take pix.

Right now, I’m wearing two: a 10k yg .25ctw diamond weave prong set half-eternity (that I got myself when I ran my first 10k race) and a 14k wg .25ctw moissy bezel&prong set half eternity, all rounds (that he got me on a Valentine’s Day, just because.) Yesterday I had those two plus one more, a 14k yg baguette and round five-stone .30ctw diamond bar set a-band (that we got as a replica of my mom’s bridal ring.) The day before that I’d added two more: a 14k yg half eternity of prong set .90 ctw CZ rounds (that I bought myself during college to wear as a decoy ring), along with my 14k yg prong set five stone rubies/diamonds 1.0ctw a-band (my 32nd birthday present.)

Rarely do I stack symetrically. Five is usually my max at any one time, because I run out of real estate. I mix metals and stones at whim. I wear everyday bands as spacers, as needed. And we try to buy everything on sale.

ellagrace:  Oh! I love your ring! So pretty and that nail color is beautiful too!  I think I might wear just one band sometimes, maybe both on one side sometimes, maybe just my wedding bands, maybe just one wedding band. It’s nice because when I send them away to get re-dipped twice a year I’ll always have at least one ring to wear.

I have two! I don’t stack them though…Story is…we got engaged and I pretty much knew what my e-ring was going to look like so I tried on many wedding bands leading up to the proposal ๐Ÿ˜‰ so by the time he proposed I knew which one I wanted (diamond eternity) so the next day we went to the jeweler and he bought it for me. Then a few months ago we were in Cartier picking out a watch and I was playing with the Love collection and happend to try on the yellow gold Love ring and HE fell in love with that look. So, what kind of wife would I be if I didn’t oblidge my man? ๐Ÿ˜‰
