I am SO nervous that I won’t feel or look beautiful on the day of! I’m going to a very well known 5 star airbrush artist, but I’m still so nervous that I’ll turn out like a clown or just super boring! Did anyone else have this fear and then it turned out to be fine? I need some assurance! Lol or is anyone else nervous about this for their future wedding day?! I don’t mean for this to sound shallow- I just thought you ladies would understand better than anybody I know in real life who isn’t getting married..

You will feel beautiful. I promise. When your man looks at you, thats all that matters. The day is about love and if your love is beautiful then you will radiate that. Joy makes everyone gorgeous. You will feel high as a kite!!

Not really…but I’m pretty satisfied with my appearance in general. I’m kind of worried about my hair though. It never seems to turn out right for important events. Also I tend to get pimples when I’m stressed.

Nope. My biggest worry was getting a migraine since I’d be totally useless.

I feel the same way! I am just a very insecure person in general and there is a lot of pressure to look “perfect” on your wedding day. I’m just hoping I will look my absolute best!

- Wedding: December 2014 - Maui
Yeah, I worry a bit. I usually look good to myself in the mirror but I don’t like the way I look in pics.

Yipeebee: That is great advice! You are so right- the happiness will make everything beautiful 🙂
ClaudiaKishi: Yeah, I’m getting married a week from this Wednesday and already scheduled a facial for Thursday because I’m breaking out from all the last minute stress! Lol
Hyperventilate: Oh gosh I really hope you don’t get a migraine! That’d be terrible! I’m sure you’ll be fine 🙂
AdaLee: Yes, exactly this! I think thats the issue. There is so much pressure to look the most beautiful you’ve EVER looked in your entire life on your wedding day. I’m glad I’m not alone! Lol

koiocha: That’s another reason! I always feel confident and then I look back at pictures or see a picture of myself and am like…uhh thats what I look like?? I’m hoping I chose a good photographer. Lol I’ll pay for the extra editing if I have to!

lexie1114: I didn’t feel beautiful on my wedding day. It was pouring rain and my hairdo fell apart and I was super bloated from PMS and one side of my bra was digging into my rib cage. I felt like a mess, but once the ceremony started I didn’t care one bit. I was so happy to get married and excited the moment had finally arrived. Don’t worry about hair or makeup- love and joy on a person’s face is radiant and that makes anyone beautiful

I think it’s important to schedule a few pamper appointments in the month leading up to your wedding. Stress is such a big part of feeling blah. It’s not just the skin treatment or massage, it’s the relaxation for an hour and feeling pampered that turns the stressometer down a few notches and puts a smile on your dial. I’m going to be nearly 50 by the time I get married and boy do I feel wrinkly and I’m worried about how old I’m going to look in the pics – but I just keep telling myself that my man will be smiling at me with absolute love when we take our vows so all I have to do is keep calm in the weeks leading up because a frazzled bride is more likely to look frazzled in photos! I’m sure you will look beautiful. I’ve never, ever been to a wedding and thought “gee the bride looks crap today, she didn’t bother with her hair and makeup”. Weddings do magical things! You’re going to look beautiful, guaranteed.

lexie1114: There’s so much pressure on you to look perfect on your wedding day… but what I’ve noticed from my friends weddings is that you’re always so happy and it shows in the pictures. It’s like a pregnancy glow kind of.
I might still worry about a stress pimple popping up though.

A little. I ended up in tears on my prom night because I felt ugly. I like to think I’ve gained some self confidence since then though.

lexie1114: given how much time, effort and money is spent by brides on their dresses, hair, make up and accessories I think it’s safe to assume that the majority of brides worry about this to some extent. You need to remember though that your fiancé is marrying you for so much more than your looks, it’ll be great if you feel gorgeous but even of you don’t, he won’t care as long as you look like you and end up married.

lexie1114: I have the same fear. I’m getting married in Cabo and there just doesn’t seem like there’s that many options for hair and makeup people there. I wear more makeup than most people on a daily basis so I’m worried that I’m just going to look the same or they won’t do my hair and makeup the way I like. I’m doing a hair and makeup trial the day before the wedding, so hopefully it will turn out ok. Are you doing a trial?

Get lots of sleep, drink lots of water take care of your skin, wear NO face makeup till the rehearsal dinner/wedding. But most importantly- be confident and happy! That’s what makes people beam beauty- truly.
