Mine does! I dont have any pics of it on him, but if you want, I’ll take one of it on me. I love it and so does he. It’s very different.

We decided against this because Fiance uses his hands a lot (construction, repairs, woodworking, site visits) and we wanted something up to more abuse than wood is.

The other thing that bothered us is if the wood gets wet, it’s possible for it to swell or pop out of the band – depending on how they construct the inlay, the adhesive can come loose or the wood can break at the seam (if there is a seam).
You need to read reviews and descriptions carefully, and ask questions of retailers if/when you have them!

We looked at rings mostly on etsy (and actually wound up purchasing both our wedding bands from etsy, but neither are wooden) We considered a solid wood turned ring, but ultimately he got a titanium band with a rose gold inlay.

That being said, see if you can find a ring from a shop that offers a replacement guarentee, warrenty or program – if the wood inlay falls out, it can be replaced (for free or for a small cost – either way it’s worth it!) If the jeweler is willing to work withyou should the wood in the ring fail – that’s all that really matters.

@Laurenskii:  We have not ordered it yet but we are 99% sure my SO will be getting this one. It’s from an Etsy seller called Herstellar (or something like that).

@Laurenskii:  We thought about it, but my guy is pretty rough on his hands so we went with a woodgrain-patterned band instead.  This is the one I was looking at:

Bentwood Ring Lined with Stainless Steel

from http://www.etsy.com/listing/121025394/bentwood-ring-lined-with-stainless-steel?ref=sr_gallery_2&sref=sr_3dcfcadb69ac52902a11e2e4de14f5dcf937113513fc45217e4765f1261e4581_1368383155_14347305_wood&ga_search_query=wood+stainless+steel+ring&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_ship_to=US&ga_search_type=all

That shop has a lot of beautiful wooden rings.  Not sure how it would look on, but it doesn’t look too thick.

We ended up getting this cool woodgain one:

@Laurenskii:  Looks about the same thickness as others to me too… silly guys.  Mine isn’t particular about much, so when he gets fixated on something, I just go with it (even when it seems goofy to me, heehee).

My husband chose a wood and antler piece from Esty. The ring turned our very nice and he loves it.
