We did one of these a few weeks ago, and I loved it! I felt like I got to know a few Bees better, which is great because I don’t feel like I know many of you very well at all these days.
So, let’s chat it up. Weekend plans? Trivial annoyances for the day? Something awesome that happened to you this week? Neat pictures you’d like to share? I want to see all of it!
I’m looking forward to this weekend because we are going to JC Penny to get a family portrait done. I convinced Darling Husband that it would be fun and funny to go every year wearing color coordinated sweaters and get one of those screamingly traditional family pictures, where everyone sits on a log or whatever and gives these douchey matching smiles at the camera. I bought all our shirts, and when I laid them down together I just couldn’t stop laughing. So I’m hoping the picture turns out cute, attractive, and just a little bit humorous. It will be awesome 20 years from now when our kids can look back and laugh at these matching family pics from every single year. I can’t wait until Dirty Delete is old enough to help me choose everyone’s outfits, too. This year, we’re going with shades of gray and matching black pants. We’ll look like we belong in a TV commercial selling life insurance or something.
How about you? What’s going on in your life?

My SO is going out of town for the FIRST time since we’ve been together (for over a year and a half). I’ve gone out of town multiple times for work and once for visiting home… But I’m so shocked, I don’t know what to do with myself! It will only be for 24 hours, but still! OUR BED FOR AN ENTIRE NIGHT TO MYSELF?! WHAT?
iarebridezilla: The family photos sound fun! I keep telling my SO we need to get some done with our stepson. I was hoping for fall photos with the turning leaves 🙂 The pictures would go so well in the entrance of our home. But we also have to think about engagement photos… as soon as he proposes! We’re going to ask his best friend to do both shoots. We’ve already warned him 😉

arebridezilla: I LOVE your photo idea!! That is so funny and it WILL be cute!! You’ll have to post it when you get it.
Last night I tried to do an exorcism on my dog, but it didn’t work. Lol! I guess I did it wrong. So other than trying again, no real plans.
Oh, we got a new roof installed yesterday and I stressed about it beyond what a normal person should stress on. I was especially worried about the dogs, though.

damarajade: I sort of love it when Darling Husband goes out of town for brief stretches. I love him, but I also love the calm and quiet that comes when he isn’t here 🙂 Haha don’t tell him I said that though! (he already knows)
And you just reminded me, I STILL haven’t gotten pictures printed from either my maternity shoot or DD’s baby photo shoot when she was 4 months old. I don’t know why I’m slacking … I guess because I’ll need to buckle down and choose some favorites, and decide what size to get them printed, and that all sounds like a pain in the ass so I just procrastinate. But DD’s first birthday is coming up very soon, so I need to get on that! Maybe this afternoon I’ll look through them and order my faves.
RedHeadKel: uhhh … a dog exorcism? Gonna need a story on that one!

Going in for a second round of interviews (with the designer/owner this time) and a 1 hour production test (jewelry) today at an AWESOME jewelry company. I am so excited/nervous and dying for this job. Could have a very sparkly future!

iarebridezilla: I LOVE the corny family photo idea! That sounds like something me an my Fiance would do to be goofy!
We are going to see the Tampy Bay Rays game tonight and we’re seeing Tom Petty on Sunday night, it’s a pretty eventful weekend for us!

Woohoo! Love these threads.
Well my plans this weekend – tonight right after work, I plan on heading straight to a starbucks to do some homework. My internet has been acting up at home (we live in a condo, and the condo fees include internet…except it’s been naughty lately!) I just plan on staying for an hour or so, but I’m kind of far behind so I need to get SOMETHING done and not have the distraction of sitting on my couch watching tv.
Tomorrow I’m meeting some girlfriends for coffee, getting my hair done, and then going to a space clearing workshop. Really looking forward to that.
And Sunday, we’re heading to the Banff area for a hike with some friends. There is a place called Larch Valley where the larch trees turn a beautiful gold colour in the last two weeks of September, so do the hike and we’ll walk around the lake. Here’s a pic I stole from the internet.
And here’s a pic of the lake it’s near.

Right now – SO TIRED, had a massive deadline at work that passed 12 minutes ago (But I hit send an hour ago – first consultant to submit – GO ME) but it’s been 2 days of being here early and staying late to make it happen.
Also, just found Suits on Netflix, addicted. Love that Netflix lets you binge watch TV shows!

MrsBuesleBee: oooh, good luck! What kind of work do you do?
Ryansgirl: that is GORGEOUS!!!
The weather forecast for this weekend is super nice again here, so maybe I will take Dirty Delete to the park again. I never really thought to put her on the playground since she’s still so little, but it turns out she loves crawling around and riding down the slide on my lap. A recent park trip photo is actually my lock screen on my phone now:

Ryansgirl: Omg. I went to Banff once when I was 15 with my family. I have to go back soon. It’s so beautiful!!!

iarebridezilla: That picture sounds adorable. I wish that I had something like that with my family, so I am definitely going to do it with my (future) kids.
We just closed on a new house and we will be spending this weekend working on it. The house is functional, but I still have a vision that I am working towards. I am also about to start a new job, so I have a lot of change going on in my life right now. I’m excited, but also slightly ill with anxiety (makes for a nice combination!).

iarebridezilla: Ugh can I eat her up?!!! So adorable!
damarajade: We really take it for granted how close we are. So beautiful! You definitely need to make a return trip 😉

iarebridezilla: love the corny family photos idea, just think of how much you can embarass your daughter when she’s a moody teenager!
We’ve made a pretty big executive life decision, and so we are looking for new jobs 900+ miles away and planning to relocate, which is exciting stuff if it all goes well. Plus it means Darling Husband gets to change careers to something he has always dreamed of doing.
.We’ve just started mentioning it to family and friends, and so far the reception has been good, although I’m dreading telling his mother, I know I’m gonna end up being the evil bitch who dragged her son hundreds if miles away from her!
