I’ve never used one, never thought it was necessary – and i’ve always lived in huge cities and have never been broken into. We insure our stuff, so it’s easily replaceable. I’d love to see what others say, though. If it’s wireless, that sounds like it can be taken with you when you move, which is cool.

I have dogs… that is my alarm. Wireless sounds like something we could look into, (in case our doggies don’t do their jobs….)

We have a safe that anything expensive goes in when it isn’t in use (my real jewelry, his guns, etc.). We also have renter’s insurance and a dog, which I think about covers it! 🙂

Do you live in a really sketchy area? If not I imagine getting a safe (one that can’t just be hauled away) would be plenty. A smaller one would run you about as much as a year of the simplisafe would, and you would be able to keep it forever.

We don’t have anything.  I do want a deadbolt for our door though.  The lame handle and chain thing still doesn’t make me comfortable.

None. We do have renter’s insurance, but that was more for fire (god forbid) than because we’re worried about break-ins.
