I just need to vent here, my apartment complex has numerous buildings, and in each building is at least 30 apartments, maybe more, and they only have 1 washer and dryer per building! WTF!!!!!!!!!!! what idiot only puts 1 washer and dryer in a building for 30 apartments!

@thehoneybear: I honestly don’t know, and it’s an older machine too! It is driving me crazy, I’m waiting on the dryer to get freed up so that I can dry my clothes so that I can go to work tonight. I’m bad about doing laundry so I tend to procrastinate a bit, but still! GRRRR!

@dolphi99: Ugh, laundry in apartments is the worst. My husband didn’t understand why I insisted that we find an apartment with a washer/dryer hookup. I think he’s thankful though.
Good luck my dear!

@Gemstone: Thanks, it’s even harder since we moved into this apartment from one that had a washer and dryer in it. I really can’t wait until we get a house, hopefully just one more year, we’re trying to get ahead on our finances and get a down payment saved up.

Oh wow! A house that close within reach is awfully exciting! Hopefully exciting enough to get you through this apartment agony!

@Gemstone: I know! It is, I just have to look at it this way, I can do anything for a year! and we just have to do laundry more frequently is all, either that or set aside one day a week as laundry day.

@dolphi99: We had the same problem but now were in one with a W&D hook up but I got a note on the door saying I cant run it past 10 now… I have had it for almost 2 years and its a super quiet front loader… I hate new neighbors…

@MsPanda: Neighbors can be sooo annoying! another reason I can’t wait to get a house, especially when we start actively TTC. I know it can be done, but I really would prefer to have a child when we are in a house if possible, so much less of a headache that way.

@dolphi99: I know what you mean But I get so frustrated why would you move into a apartment if you are going to complain at EVERY noise (including me opening my garage door)

@MsPanda: ugg I know, it’s ridiculous! I mean everyone knows there is going to be some noise from neighbors when you move into an apartment!

That is nuts. So unrealistic. I can imagine how that would be frustrating. I would need to vent too… then drink lol

If I didn’t need to work tonight, I would love to have a little drink, oh well, vent it is 🙂

My apartment complex is the same way. I agree: It’s totally stupid. We are fortunate enough that DH’s parents bought us a washer and dryer as a wedding present, but we were in the same boat as you before that point! 🙁
