my appetite is crazy when I feel good (not sick or stressed) which is most of the time. I am curious if anyone uses any SAFE appetite suppressants or are there any foods/drinks/herbs that suppress your appetite.

I accidently scalded my tongue on tea and it suppressed my appetite. I have lost five pounds this week lol. Since I can’t taste anything I don’t overeat.

Instead of spending money on supplement bars, eating an apple prior to a meal or drinking water will make you feel fuller. Try doing six small meals during the day also helps. Your 3 basic meals and healthy snacks in-between like nuts, fruits will help you feel full longer.

I take perricone vitamins
You’re supposed to take two packets a day- there are 7-8 pills per packet, I have trouble eating a full meal after taking one of the packets (which usually requires I drink a bottle of water). I also drink matcha green tea which helps me not eat as much.

I was taking konjac fiber pills for a little while. You take 1 or 2 before a meal and drink a bunch of water. It seemed to work, but I may have subconciously been trying to eat less also. Whatever the reason, I lost a few pounds!

I used hoodia pills for a bit and it seemed like it worked. Also, drinking a lot of water while eating. A trick that works for me while I’m at work and can’t eat is to chew gum and drink water. The water makes me feel full and the flavour of the gum and chewing makes me feel like I ate.

@MissGreen: I do this already. For me, Its not really the need to feel full. I actually kinda like the hungry feeling (it makes me feel thin) its my appetite…like instead of a salad I want fried egg roles…you know? Hunger has never really been a problem for me…

How much protein are you eating? Protein is what gives me that full feeling. Give us some examples of what you eat for meals?

I think I’ll get hated on for this… but hydroxycut. It helps me start dieting. I don’t need to take it the whole time, but it helps keep my hunger in check in the beginning of a diet.

I put wheat germ in my yogurt or oatmeal. Wheat germ really fills me up in the morning. It’s also full of vitamins and very good for your overall health.
