- Wedding: June 2012
We are getting married at the Mission Inn (Riverside,CA) on a Thursday with our reception following shortly after at a venue within a walking distance. Our ceremony will begin at 1PM and our Reception will be from 3 P.M. to 6 P.M. In order to cut costs down and accomodate our 100 guests, would it be acceptable to have an Appetizer/Dessert/Drink type reception as opposed to a sit down dinner? We were thinking of having the following appetizers:
• Mini Tostadas, topped with Beans, Lettuce, Cheese and Vine Ripened Tomatoes • Beef Flautas, shredded Beef wrapped in a Crispy Flour Tortilla • Chicken Taquitos, shredded Chicken wrapped in a Crispy Flour Tortilla • Basil, Tomatoes and Mozzarella Mini Quesadillas • Roasted Pepper Mini Quesadillas • Spinach & Mushroom Mini Quesadillas • Albacore Stuffed Jalapeños • Spicy Alitas Buffalo Wings • Freshly made Guacamole
Also Chips and Salsa.
We will be adding refreshments such as sodas and aguas frescas and a dessert bar with cupcakes, cookies, cheesecake, candy, flan, fresh fruit, and other pastries.
Would this be enough food for our guests and is it acceptable for the time of day?
If so how would we word our invites?
Thanks in advance ladies! 🙂
