My picks (as a picky eater) would be:

Meatballs

Chicken Satay

Sweet and Sour Pork

Steak Cubes

Apparently I like meat.

Peking duck spring rolls with hoisin sauce

Grilled scallion pancake with chili oil filling

Bite-size steak cubes with rose salt

Hakka-style chicken wings

Boneless ribs with Thai BBQ sauce on an edible wanton spoon

This list of appetizers sounds absolutely amazing to me, but these are the ones that jumped out as most appealing.

It all sounds so good!!

the crispy tofu, the scallion pancakes, veggie spring rolls, chicken satay, and probably any kind of dumplings – those are the things I’d be most excited to see.

xiexie :  I prefer my steak charred and burnt because I like the burnt flavor on the outside but I realize I’m an outlier.

I would still eat and enjoy medium though.

Those all sound great! If I had to pick 8, personally I would go with:

Peking duck spring rolls w/hoisin sauce

Sweet and sour Asian meatballs

Satay chicken skewers

Grilled scallion pancakes with chili oil filling

Green bean dumplings

Hakka-style chicken wings

Sweet potato croquettes with mango dressing

Fried rice balls stuffed with spinach

I’d try to make sure there are a few crowd pleasers in there, like the meatballs or chicken satay for any picky eaters, as well as veggie options, but try to focus on local specialties as much as you can.

xiexie :  Wow, Bee, this sounds great!!

I would choose:

-Peking duck spring rolls with hoisin sauce (ls)

-Vegetable spring rolls with plum sauce (v)

-Crispy fried tofu wedges with local green onion topping (vg) (ls)

-Sweet and sour Asian meatballs

-Satay chicken skewers

-Grilled scallion pancake with chili oil filling (vg) (ls)

-Fried quails eggs on skewers (v)

-Kimchi and peanut dumplings

-Bite-size steak cubes with rose salt

-Boneless ribs with Thai BBQ sauce on an edible wanton spoon

I know I chose ten–so many great options, now I’m hungry. I eliminated a number of things that can be difficult to eat (such as soup dumplings and chicken wings) without squirting/spilling/staining and tried to choose some appealing veg options. While I would love the kimchi and peanut dumplings they may find a limited audience amongst your western guests. Let us know what you decide!

Duck spring rolls and scallion pancake for sure.

I like the sound of the ribs on a wonton spoon, soup shots, satay chicken and meat cubes too.

I was gonna try and pick 8 but it was too hard.

Just pick what you would most like to eat, make sure a few are veggie/vegan and good to have a couple of local ones. But I don’t think you can go wrong overall.
