So, I just need opinions on what to have for appetizers. While Fiance and I are taking photos I want the guests to have some nibbles…we are having a brunch wedding at 9am so people are probably going to be hungry if they didn’t have breakfast.

@lawbride88: I picked Swedish meatballs, deviled eggs, and stuffed tomatoes.
Im helping my friend plan her wedding, and when we went to talk to the coordinator, she said try to pick 3 totally different food items to give a variety, and include at least one vegetarian option.

I didn’t pick deviled eggs because I’d be afraid of my guests having some extra gas and spending a little more time in the bathroom in a couple of hours 🙂

@lawbride88: wow, a 9am wedding! what time are you getting up to get ready?
at this time of day, i would probably consider more “breakfast type” items. things with eggs, toast, bacon, sausage, fruit. that kind of thing. i wouldn’t be into anything with bbq sauce at that time of day.
how about mini quiche, fruit kebabs, mini bagels toasted with cream cheese and salmon/capers, bacon wrapped scallops, bacon wrapped anything, sausage rolls, etc?

@mypinkshoes: I agree – assuming your photos would be starting around 9:30/10am, I wouldn’t want to eat any of those things so early (or at all if I hadn’t eaten breakfast first).

I would not be into any of those items at 9am. Way too early for that level of savory lunch foods.

I picked bruchetta and spanakopita… closest things that could pass as breakfast/brunch but not ideal. I like the suggestions of fruit skewers, quiche, mini bagels etc…

At 9 AM that kind of food is pretty intense, I think something a little lighter, fruit, crepes, cinnamon rolls, quice, breakfast tacos, mini muffins, donuts, sausage balls, , french toast, yogurt or something “breakfast-y” would be better. 9 AM isn’t hardly brunch, its breakfast time.

I picked deviled eggs, goat cheese pizza, and bruchetta. I think all three of these items would be fine for the time of day you chose.

I picked swedish meatballs, goat cheese pizza and bruschetta as I feel they go well together.
I do however, agree with @chasesgirl:
“At 9 AM that kind of food is pretty intense
“. Perhaps lighter options could be an idea?

@evergladebee: LOL but deviled eggs don’t have that effect on everyone.

I voted spanakopita, it’s so good, and you could eat those for breakfast. Plus they are easy to hold. I also picked brushetta, everyone loves that…. and i picked goat cheese pizza, again seems pretty easy to hold and eat.

I guess we could have no appetizers. It was originally later but it’s already getting hot by 10:30 so we are moving the time up. I don’t think ill sleep anyway so I’m not particularly concerned. Ill get ready at 6 and have pictures at 8.

Oh and i guess I just view things like spanakopita and stuffed tomatoes as “light” also the goat cheese pizza is like a flatbread-SI essentially it’s as light as cheese and crackers would be but more elegant overall.

I voted for
meatballs, deviled eggs, and the pizza and then I saw it was at 9AM. There is no way I would want that stuff that early in the morning.
