After three years graduation was coming up, I havent been to one before, and wondered whether the dress I have is appropriate – I’ve (tried) to add a picture and a link to an ebay site selling the same one..
The Dress on Ebay
So should I wear this? And what shoes would you suggest? I have no idea of what to expect!

I think it’s “appropriate”, but are you wearing a gown? What color is your gown? I think that makes a difference.
(Side note: do they wear graduation gowns in England?)

I think that’s a nice grad dress. I would do some heels but make sure they’re fairly comfy.

@les105: We wear gowns still they are black and then the hood (?) is either red and yellow, or red and blue, we’re still not sure. Dress code specifies sombre colours so everything has to be pretty neutral.
@Jamcnair: Thank you 🙂 and which colour, style of heels would you suggest? I dont want to look like im going to a wedding! 😀

I would personally try to be comfy. That dress looks good. I’m going to dress business casual at my graduation coming up in May – probably dress pants and a nice shirt with a jacket. I’m wearing a robe so no one will really see what I’m wearing, and I’m going to go with flats because our graduation is on a field. I’ve helped out in the past and I know it can get cold and windy, and heels don’t do well on a football field. So it all depends on where/how it is organized!
ETA: I live in the US, things might be different in England.

I like that dress. I would wear black heels. And a cardigan.
