Yesterday, I decided I wanted to frame a picture of my Fiance, myself, and our two dogs to give as a Christmas gift to Future Mother-In-Law. So I took us in the backyard, my camera on a tripod, and did a quick self-timer picture. I think it turned out great, it’s a really nice picture and I even framed a copy for my own home.
My question is, would it be tacky to reuse it as engagement pictures?
Is it not an appropriate “shot”? (i.e., no ring visible, should just be Fiance and myself, already used for gift, too “family portrait-y”)
No one has seen it besides Fiance and myself, so give me your honest opinion 🙂
Thanks for the feedback, bees!

What do you mean use it as engagement picture? You mean in the paper or something? Most people do an engagement photo shoot and get like a hundred pictures. Not that I ever look at mine lol I only look at wedding pictures. So if you want you could probably skip that. I think it is a great photo and it would be fine for an engagement announcement.

@emilygrace07: I assumed she meant for a STD or engagement announcement card.
I think it is a lovely photo, OP. I don’t see why you would use it! Only your Mother-In-Law will know 🙂

I think it’s a cute picture and you could use it but I’d crop most of the background out. =]

Yeah just an announcement for family and friends, in the mail/ save the dates. Nothing in the mail. And I don’t want to spend the money on a photographer, I would rather just use a self timer for the same effect for something that’s not so important.
@Blush.Champagne: and that’s true, it’s not like anyone else would know haha!

I love the photo and I think it would be okay to use as an engagement photo however most e-pics show the love between you two, you can keep the dogs in but maybe try another photo with you embracing each other or looking at each other or holding hands ? Something to show a connection this is more a family portrait
