Just got our pro pics back and I’m so happy with them! Received about 300, trying to cut some out but it’s hard! We had our photographer Franck Tourneret (in the south of France) from 11am to 9pm for a very good price. I highly recommend him if you happen to be in france (he also travels!). He took pics of me getting ready at the hairdresser, and the inn my in-laws were renting. Then I had to be super assertive and get myself out of there while I still could, my sweet mother in law offering to serve me a sit down lunch…but as storm clouds brewed in the sky I grabbed a yogurt and we jetted! The rain had been intermittent all morning, and when we walked out the door there were mud puddles and a construction site filled with gawking workers! I froze, and my photographer slash bodyguard led the way:)
We dropped my mom and bridesmaid at my place and started ‘operation first look’ with lots of calls to my now husband. We parked, the photog set the scene and I started down the steps and he came out of the tunnel by the river, it was so lovely! Do a first look!
We had our couple pics then before the ceremony and it was a lovely time to be together.
We met at city hall for a quick ceremony, I could hardly concentrate on what the mayor was saying in French, but at least we’re married!
We did our group photos inside it was too iffy outside. Then we headed for the ‘vin d’honneur’ at the inn and had hot chocolate (did I mention it was freeeeeezing that day, not good for strapless) and some champagne! His godson played us lovely violin pieces, and we snuck away for some more couple shots.
Finally we headed to the restaurant for our reception (the meal was planned in advance). There was a nice surprise of a video slideshow and the food was Excellent! I had to loosen my dress to fit it all in!
finally we headed off to our hotel which had rose petals all over (even in the toilet lol) and a rainshower….heaven.
Getting ready…something blue!
