- Wedding: December 2017
You’re age/ partners age: 34/33
Cycles Trying: I stopped counting we’ve been TTC since 08/16
Current cycle date/ DPO: CD25
Ovulation/ Procedure date: FET #2 4/11
POAS/ Beta date: POAS 4/19, Beta Date will be 4/22
Known fertility issues: MFI
BFP Plan: FET 4/11, prenatals, adding vitamin d this time, today’s my last day of BCP, I’m on lupron, start estrogen patches 3/23, then PIO, estradol, and I forget the name of the antibiotic they put you on before transfer. I’m skipping accupuncture this time.
Trying anything new this month?: vitamin d and FET, it’s our second though so not sure if it’s new anymore
For fun: Favorite Spring Activity? I’m excited to be able to walk the beach and shell collect again. I didn’t really get to the beach over the winter, I feel like I haven’t felt the sand under my feet in forever.
Your age/partner’s age: 30/38 – I was super depressed when I turned 30 without being pregnant, and here I turn 31 in April and I’m STILL not pregnant!
Baby #: 1
Cycles Trying: 18
Current Cycle Day/DPO: CD1
Usual Cycle Length: 31-32 days
Ovulation/Procedure (and what kind) Date: Estimated April 3rd
POAS/Beta Date: April 18th
Known fertility issues: Unexplained infertility
BFP Plan (BD Timing, supplements, charting, prenatals, etc.): Prenatals, Vitamin D, baby aspirin, CoQ10, Vitamin C
Trying anything new this month?: No, we did one IUI last month and I think I’m done with them. We’re started the consultation process with the doctor we want to go with for IVF, but they’re out of state, so I’d guess it will be early/mid summer before we actually start. My current/previous RE didn’t feel the need to do much testing, but I’ve got my annual OBGYN appointment and she’s really great so I’m going to ask for some additional testing to be done.
Link to your chart if charting: http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/6eb6c1 (I mostly just chart around time of O to confirm)
For fun: Favorite spring activity where you are?: The beach!
I probably won’t get to start tying again until May, but I just wanted to say hi over here because the regular POAS board isn’t the place for me anymore. I started trying in August 2018 and get pregnant quickly, but have had 2 miscarriages since then. We just had our intilal consult with an RE earlier this month, and now I’m waiting to start my next cycle to do bloodwork and HSG. This inactive waiting is killing me, but hopefully we can get some answers in April and start a treatment plan soon after that.
Your age/partner’s age: 25/24
Baby #: 1
Cycles Trying: about 7 months
Current Cycle Day/DPO: 3 DPO and waiting for next cycle to start diagnostics
Usual Cycle Length: usually 28, but the MC’s mess it up for a while
Ovulation/Procedure (and what kind) Date: Who knows? Let’s say April 11th
POAS/Beta Date: unknown
Known fertility issues: 1st MC was Trisomy 14, 2nd was too early to test, but I had very low progesterone the whole time
BFP Plan (BD Timing, supplements, charting, prenatals, etc.): Doing whatever the RE says. I’ll probably stop temping soon
Trying anything new this month?: Sitting this round out
For fun: Favorite spring activity where you are?: It’s still pretty cold, but would love to do something outdoorsy for my 26th birthday coming up.
I can’t roll call since I won’t be POAS until late May but I’m gonna hang around in the meantime anyway.
Currently on the BCP, and will start stims in mid April 😬🤞
Wishing everyone here the best of luck in April 😊
Aprilbride2717 : I’m so sorry about your miscarriages. They’re truly heartbreaking.
Good luck to everyone trying new things this month! I’m so nervous about our appointment this afternoon. My husband keeps telling me everything will be fine, but I’m bordering on terrified. I really hate seeing doctors, especially new ones. They have the power to tell you horrible things. I just want our rainbow and I’m tired of peeing on sticks lol. Clomid made me sob through a kid’s movie on Saturday. My husband just passed me tissues lol.
Hi all, Just hanging out here as well since we completely missed this cycle…ugh. We did go to new fertility specialist so we will hopefully have something done next cycle. For now just tests..

Your age/partner’s age: 29 / 35
Baby #: 1
Cycles Trying: 15 months / 13 cycles
Current Cycle Day/DPO: CD13
Usual Cycle Length: Around 30-32 days
Ovulation/Procedure (and what kind) Date: Triggered CD12 and will be doing IUI with donor sperm on CD14.
POAS/Beta Date: April 3rd
Known fertility issues: MFI (azoospermia) so we are using donor sperm, PCOS, and bicornuate uterus
BFP Plan (BD Timing, supplements, charting, prenatals, etc.): I don’t track BDing anymore due to using donor sperm due to MFI. Charting my symptoms and whatnot on FF. Prenatals, vitex, B6, metformin, RRL capsules and evening primrose before O/IUI, progesterone supps, bromelain and vitamin C after O/IUI, Femara with ovidrel trigger, zinc, CoQ10, vitamin E and D, L-Carnitine……gosh what else?
Trying anything new this month?: 5mg Femara, progesterone supps after IUI….and second cycle of IUI
For fun: Favorite spring activity where you are?: Watching the snow melt in MN…? Just kiddding, kinda. Lol. I’m excited for the sun, green grass to start showing up when the snow melts, and finally getting to go outside without bundling up. I want to get back outside for walks, and be able to do some landscaping (ie. plant flowers I’ll most likely end up killing, make the mulch look pretty again, tear out a bush and put a bird bath or a different winter-handling bush there and put my wind chime back out).
Ladies, the increase of femara to 5mg worked wonders. Last cycle we did 2.5mg and on CD12 I had 3 10/11mm follicles on each side, on CD 15 I had ONE 14mm follicle that was a 16mm on CD17 and on CD18 it grew to 19mm…I triggered that night and had the IUI on CD20. This cycle with 5mg I had a 16mm, 17mm and 21mm follicle on one side on CD 12!!!! Lining was a 6.4. I triggered and IUI is on Wednesday morning. I can finally say I’m proud of my body for doing what it was supposed to do. This is so exciting. I am sooooooooooo hoping for this cycle to work. Come onnnn little swimmers.
Dfitzy : Wahoo! Welcome back – fx for a great IVF cycle and a BFP. The beta day is my sister’s 2nd anniversary 🙂 it’s gotta be a lucky day. I can’t wait to put my feet in some sand at the cabin this summer!
cbn8787 : Fx for good test results, or at least some answers if things have changed from the last round of tests. And also a good IVF consult – have you met with this doctor or talked to them at all before? I can’t remember. Beaches aren’t ready here for a while since we got so much snow, so I’m jealous you’ve got some sand to walk in there.
pigpug10 : Welcome! I’m so sorry to hear about all the endo troubles. You’ve had your fair share of downs on this roller coaster…time for a few up moments! It’s definitely a hard decision to make about doing the FET or waiting I’m sure. Take some time to make this decision and weigh the pros and cons of giving your body a break. Oooooooooh wine tasting sounds amazing – I would have to skip this year too….hopefully for a BFP (for you too!) instead of just not drinking for lining and implantation purposes.
Aprilbride2717 : Welcome! Sorry to hear about the MC’s. The regular POAS board gets hard to be on sometimes with all the first timers and people getting pregnant with sticky beans right away, while dealing with losses in terms of a MC and time along the TTC journey. It’s hard. Hoping you get your rainbow baby soon! Waiting for tests to be done and getting the results was one of the hardest things for me, and I’m sure most of the ladies here felt the same. The unknown is so daunting, but once the answers are there at least a plan can be made surrounding what the next steps will be. Hoping for some answers for you soon!
RaccoonKitty : We are happy to have you sticking around! 🙂 Yay for IVF in the next coming months!
angel_baby_12_9 : Fx this month brings some luck for us all! Your trips sound like great distractions 🙂 Any update from your doctors appointment?
latebloomerbee78 : We’re happy to have you sticking around too! How do you feel about your new RE?
cbn8787 : I’m glad you’re getting more tests done by your OB in the meantime!
pigpug10 : I’m doing a transfer in April too! Have you ever had a transfer before or only retrievals?
Aprilbride2717 : Sorry about the MCs. I hope the RE has some answers for you.
RaccoonKitty : I just stopped BCP yesterday. If you have any questions about stims feel free to ask. I found stims for retrieval not that bad.
angel_baby_12_9 : Sorry about the MCs. Good luck with your appointment today! It’s normal to be nervous. I felt so much better after my first RE appointment. It felt like we were being proactive and moving in the right direction.
NicLE1218 : That’s great news about your follicles! I really hope this is it for you!
That appointment sucked. He won’t do anything including monitoring the Clomid cycle I’m currently on until I get a bunch if testing done. I don’t care why I’m not ovulating, I just want to. The treatment is the same no matter what. He also said if 3 cycles of femara and 1 of Clomid didn’t work, our chances of conceiving that was are very small. Adding iui ups our chances to 5 or 10%. My husband wants to talk about it and I just want to cry and throw things.
angel_baby_12_9 : Sorry your appointment sucked! I did 4 cycles of Clomid and my RE told me that if it didn’t work after 3 cycles, it pretty much wouldn’t work. We just did one unsuccessful IUI and I’m over it because of the low chances of success as well. My doctor did not monitor during Clomid because I ovulate, but monitoring is definitely the preferred method these days so I’m surprised by that. What testing does he want you to do? Are you open to doing a consult with a different RE?
My RE didn’t do any testing for us besides an ultrasound and SA because everything looked normal for us. We’re not doing IVF with him because it’s outrageously expensive, but I’m going to push for more testing between my OBGYN and new RE to give us the best possible chances with IVF.
