enjoy :  hi again! I’ve read that you’re more fertile after a MC so maybe it won’t be such a long wait again

I am debating waiting  till Sunday to test. I do NOT want to wait, but I also don’t want to waste a test and see a negative. I am so sure of my symptoms yesterday that I almost feel like I don’t need to test yet, because I’m pregnant? But that feels crazy to even say…. idk, I do have dollar store tests so it’s not like they’re expensive. Can they even pick up a pregnancy at 9dpo, 2 days after what (I think) was implantation?

Equine_Breeder :  I got my squinter at 9DPO at night on a 4 hour hold with a cheapie. Wasn’t sure when implantation happened but if I was you I’d just waste a cheapie.

Well I tested and t was negative, but I’m still only 9 DPO and both times I’ve been pregnant I got my positive at 12DPO. So I will test again tomorrow or probably Monday!

Although i I had a horrible dream last night. 😓 I was 23 weeks pregnant and went back home to visit my family, and when my dad touched my bump he said “hmm I don’t feel it moving” and I said “I haven’t felt it move yet, I think it’s probably died” and then I spent the rest of the trip trying to run around and figure out how to find an ultrasound to see if it had died. Awful. I’m not a superstitious person but stuff like that really shakes me up. My dreams have always been SO vivid and real, it feels more like a premonition. (I hate even typing it out…)

Does anyone feel like that your loss has robbed you of your innocence of thinking pregnancy is good and fun? We got a bfp on Saturday, but find ourselves saying things like, if this works out, if we have a baby, etc. Before our loss, we talked about things we would do with our baby, things we wanted to buy our baby. It’s almost like you understand that bad things happen, but certainly not to you. Now we fully understand that bad things can certainly happen to us and we’re almost expecting them.

angel_baby_12_9 :  firstly congrats and yes I couldn’t agree more I had a meltdown with my husband over it we have had five early miscarriages just before five weeks since August … have been seeing fertility specialist all seems normal except my lining appears thin possibly the cause or I am hyper fertile and body accepts embryos that would not normally be accepted by most women. But I feel like I cannot be happy at all now I don’t even flinch at a positive it’s more of fear that comes over me and needless to say my anxiety has been the worse it’s ever been since probably December where I actually thought I needed medication

Kristen2711 :  I have been very anti counseling throughout everything. I think I may need to go talk to someone now. Have you tried it?

zstbee84 :  i was having odd cramps this morning so when I woke up I tried one of my FRERs and still negative so I think I’m out. I was hopeful and thought maybe my dollar store tests just weren’t picking it up but, the FRER gods have spoken I think :/

angel_baby_12_9 :  congratulations!!! I know your loss will color how you talk and think, but have hope 🙂 sending all the heathy baby vibes to you!

Equine_Breeder :  I hope so! Unfortunately we suspect our fertility issues may be tied to my husband’s health issues, so I’m not sure how much it matters that I could be more fertile after miscarrying. That’s if I even am more fertile – I wonder if it’s possible my hormones are still all over the place. My period showed up today, 5 days early! It sucks!

enjoy :  My periods have also been out of whack since my MC. I have had three so far and the most recent one was only 27 days which is probably the shortest one I have ever had. My periods are also lighter and shorter. My temps were erratic the first two cycles but since the beginning of this cycle have been pretty stable so I am hoping it’s a good sign that things are getting back to normal. Good luck to you! I hope yours get back to normal soon. I think some women may be super fertile after an MC and get pregnant right away but for others it takes a while for our bodies to go back to normal.

I may be a little late to this thread, and I’m happy to start a new one for May/June if there is interest.

First, lots of good thoughts to all of you ladies. I hope you all get the positive results – or at least things moving in a positive direction – very soon!!

As for me, I’ve been quietly following this as I wait for the chance to TTC again after my MC in April.

ROLL CALL

Age/Age of Partner: 31/31

Loss Status: MC at ~16 weeks (along with D&E)

Medical Reason (if any): cervical incompetance.. which unfortunately will still be an issue in any future pregnancy. “Treatment” is a minor surgical procedure at ~12-14 weeks gestation to stitch shut the cervix, then another procedure to remove the stitch at 37 weeks.

Trying for Baby#: 1

Cycles Trying: this will be the first, post MC

CD/DPO: ~26 days post-MC, no idea when the current cycle will even start!

What Are You Doing Differently: nothing yet.. waiting and seeing how different things are this time around with my cycles, etc.

Chart: none this time, yet

Please share anything about your angels. Names, special commemoration, pictures, etc:
